I haven't seen one of these since probably 2016. The Korean Mustang got cheap really fast, blatted down the road on broken suspension, and either blew up or got wrecked by someone who thought they were a better driver than they were. Now that Hyundai has made a name for itself it should try the Korean Mustang thing again. This would be a good first car. Less cool than a Mustang which is a good thing. Enough power to learn how to control power and a reasonably well-sorted chassis.
I can't imagine keeping a full Autozone car wash product aisle in the trunk of a Hyundai.

Couldn't agree more. This is a *terrible* first car. Especially since the traction control is a bit too aggressive. So idiot Zoomers who can't handle a RWD vehicle tend to turn it off and then proceed to crash it. Check out the /r/GenesisCoupe subreddit. Every single week someone crashes one. Which is why they're now $15-20K cars, when just a few years back you could get a decent one for $6-7K. I'm planning on hanging onto my 3.8 for the next decade so I can sell it for $50k lol.

@@horusmorus5588 Unfortunately I had an auto, but it's truly a blast to drive (especially in the city). Steering is insanely direct, braking is easy, and you can also definitely tell how rigid the chassis is at all times. I would've probably kept the car had it been manual, but one of my main personal gripes was the fact that it doesn't isolate you from the road very well when you want that. Another personal opinion I have was that it's not the most confidence-inspiring on the highway due to its small footprint and the fact that a decent gust of wind is enough to require a correction in the steering. Also I didn't really get good fuel economy (23city/27 highway) and never found out why, but that was probably just my individual case as people consistently get 30+ hwy
