- Sabado 3 de Septiembre del 2011.Asi es la entrada de Aberdeen , la ciudad en donde nacio Kurt Cobain,En el Estado de Washington se inauguró una estatua de cuatro metros en forma de guitarra en conmemoración del 17.º aniversario de la muerte del famoso músico de rock Kurt Cobain, el líder de Nirvana.El monumento se erigió en Aberdeen, la ciudad natal de Cobain, en un parque donde el músico solía ir a componer canciones. La escultura de hormigón reproduce la guitarra Fender Jag-Stang fabricada por encargo del propio Cobain, que la diseñó personalmente. A la guitarra está atada una cinta de metal con una inscripción: "One more special message to go and then I'm done and I can go home" ("Un mensaje especial más para mandar y he terminado y podré irme a casa), una cita de la canción de Nirvana 'On a Plain'.
I was never alive while Kurt was and yet I still feel this weird connection to him. I feel like he is/was really relatable and just a genuine, cool guy.

My heart stopped for a second when something in the way started playing and I saw the bridge... the things he went through in life, man... Haunting footage, to think that he once sat under that bridge, homeless. Wherever he is now, I hope he's finally at peace and away from his demons.

I live in washington state and I can't count how many times I've been to Aberdeen... You can't miss the sign that welcomes you. But the other memorials I've never seen!

The half price store guy seems like a nice guy..i would have bought a poster........but.......i honestly wonder if kurt even realized what his music, art and such meant to people?? There is something so honest and pure in it that i think a lot of people relate to.....i know it must have been a shock the level of fame so quick and hings that came wih it that he was not expecting or had in his mind would happen when he reached that level..sure not many people could. ...but kurt, krist, and dave...their music will be around long after all of us are dead and gone and it will still reach out and touch people...its just that good and pure......i wish kurt could have just held on, and looked outside the bad and stress he was feeling..not to mention drug haze..because he was and is so special...and its heartbreaking to think of not only the music and creativity the world lost..but he was a real person whom had friends,, a wife..but most of all a daughter that now has to live her life without him....and anyone who is a true fan know kurt worshiped frances...just a shame drugs and depression takes a toll on a soul. .not to mention all the other stuff he was dealing with in his mind and life...wish he would have stuck around a bit longer
I agree Jamey! I live across the river from memorial, and walk by there almost every day. I meet people from other states, and countries! It's sad that he ended his life at such a young age. Aberdeen is my town that I live in, and probably will until I die!
I wish his wife hadn't killed him. Frances not only has his looks but his spirit, too... and way too much influence from the murderess.

I cried watching this, I live in bc Canada, and when I was young I used to hang out under a bridge that look very similar to this listening to Nirvana, I would spend so much time alone there a lot of the time when I was hurting and sad this helped me, just to feel close to him someone that I could identify with so incredibly very much, he helped me through so much pain In my lifetime, and still dos. I need to see this place. I was too young to admire him when he was alive. I started loving Nirvana when I was 8 years old that was the year he passed I will always be a fan and always miss you, you will live on in your fans!💋❤ R.I P Kurt Cobain, love you always.

Oh you gotta go if you get the chance. I went there a few weeks ago and the feeling of being there in person is unreal. Being able to see it all in person, take in the atmosphere and just be there. Definitely definitely go if you get the chance.

Key Glezh eso no es del todo cierto, se dice que el nunca llego a dormir ahi realmente, pero el puente sin duda fue una gran inspiracion para el.
Pare che non sia vero che ha dormito sotto il ponte di Aberdeen. Andava di nascosto nella sua casa da cui la madre lo aveva cacciato via (!!!) e dormiva nel sottoscala. Chissà se la madre si sarà pentita e gli avrà mai chiesto scusa? Visto che anche lei ha beneficiato dei soldi 💰 di Kurt!🤔
