The dynamic on this pod is kinda weird sometimes. Julian makes good points and the other 2 dismis almost everything he says.
It's rehearsed to an extent, or at least they cover what they're gonna argue about n agree on beforehand

Julian knows his stuffs. Robbie don't think you know better than anyone, Humble yourself. Spain was the better team in the tournament and is more likely to win.
Robbie needs to re-learn not to interrupt when someone is talking. The constant overriding is getting annoying and making me lose interest in this podcast. He didn't use to this before. Watch the Forever Arsenal as an example, spot on coordination there. Do better.

Robbie has a habit of exaggerating his predictions and altering the record. But he does it cleverly, because he rarely makes a definite prediction. There’s always a get out clause of ‘possibly’, ‘maybe’ or ‘a good chance’ in there. He is a true politician.

If trossard start most games next season it will be an unbelievable season for him. When you look at rice and trossard combination last season both players complemented eatch other. So if we signed calaflori a player that love to bring the ball like rice and a striker for trossard to play in those dead balls it will be really interesting next season and how arteta use him

VAR is not working especially for offsides. How do we know that the lines drawn are accurate ? And why are they not drawn in this tournament ? I have seen images of about at least 4 occasions where it was wrongly given!
Robbie is the fan who’s never actually played the game at a decent level. So it’s entirely about outcomes for him. But at the same time he’s a hypocrite because he argues Utd didn’t have a more successful season than Arsenal even though they won silverware. So he argues results when it suits him and performances when it suits him.
Fans that have played at a decent level and above know that it’s also about how you win, because that’s what’s sustainable.

As always, Robbie is talking absolute rubbish. He named 1 game where Spain had the marginals with them, which was against Germany, the host nation and one of the absolute biggest favorites for winning it all. Whereas you could argue, that England have had the luck in all of their games, and I know it sounds harsh, but they actually have.
After group stages (in which we played very poor with 2 draws and 1 win against very mediocre teams), we meet Slovakia who outplayed us in the first half and got the lead and we couldn't create a damn thing for the whole game, until we luckily got the equaliser in the last minute of the game and then we got the win in extra time after Slovakia made a lot of defensive changes to keep the lead in regular time and it was clear, that they ran out of energy and quality with the changes in extra time. The total xG for the game was 1,89 for Slovakia while England only had 1,41 xG.
In the quarters, we met Switzerland who again outplayed us with an xG of 1,31 while England had 0.84 xG and eventually we won on penalties but just 5 minutes before penalties we were so lucky that Shaqiri didn't score directly from corner kick just hitting the post catching the defense and Pickford off guard.
In the semis against Holland, we were very lucky with the penalty and I'm not talking about the incident itself but the whole context leading up to the penalty as Saka hit the ball with his hand just before the ball got over to Kane. This means that VAR by default should disallow any penalty and give Holland free kick, because UEFA's rules are that any handball intentional or not in an offensive play by default means a free kick for the other team. So Holland was absolutely played by VAR and they have given in an official complaint about Saka's handball before Kane got the ball to finish it off and then getting a penalty instead.
Nevertheless, the total xG in yesterday's game was 1,31 for England and 0,51 for Holland but again, there's some context to this, because a penalty counts as 0,76 xG itself which means that without the penalty, which we shouldn't have gotten in the first place as Saka had a handball, we only had 0,55 xG which says that it was such an even game that we won on a brilliant finish from Watkins from an almost impossible angle, so fair play to the lad.
But overall, we've been very lucky meeting Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia, Slovakia, Switzerland and Holland from groupstages to the final, which is quite possibly the luckiest and easiest draws of all time in the history of The Euros. You won't find another big nation who's had an easier way to a final before, and obviously I'd be over the moon if we win against Spain, but they've just been so much better than us, and I really find it hard to see how we could win playing so poor against all the mediocre teams.
