What takes of his were diabolical??? Other than his liking of Southgate, which he admitted was purely down to meeting him and seeing first hand that he was a nice guy, everything else he said, especially in the first half an hour about England, was SPOT ON! 👍
@@mikesmith8729You're talking about his comments from 24:53 I just played it back. That's not exactly what he said. Funny enough what he actually said is the same thing that has often been spoken about, regarding England players, for YEARS. Whilst we've had some fantastic players, past and present, we're often left scratching our heads as to why they never seem to be able to transfer their club form over to the national team. As a result of that it has long since been theorised that given most of our club sides have world class foreign players in them, often making up the spines of our top teams, all while being coached/managed by foreign managers, maybe that is why their performances are in complete contrast to how they then perform when playing for England. It also boils down to the fact that maybe, just maybe, we overrate a lot/most of our players too. On a technical level, and in terms of being more cultured on the ball, most know that the Spanish, French, Italian, German, Brazil, Argentinian, and Portuguese players have LONG been considered better technicians on the ball, whilst English players are mostly known for having more pace and power. Therefore, going back to what Jordan (and MANY others have) said when looking at our lads at club level, and playing for the likes of Klopp, Pep, Wenger, Mourinho, and Ancelotti, we can often distort how good they truly are when then comparing them directly against how they play for England. At club level, and when playing with the array of foreign talents that they play with, they're exposed to a football style and culture that is VERY different to our own (at international level) which in turn does enhance our players (at club level) as the different styles can compliment each other and be molded, especially as club coaches/managers have MUCH longer periods with the players to get across their philosophies and tactics in training, as opposed to the limited time coaches have with players at international level. But our players aren't able to replicate those same practices or approach, individually or as a team, when making the transition from club to country. Ultimately it's not in their DNA. Apologies for the essay. Hopefully all of that makes sense though?

Every other country in the Euros play with so much chemistry compared to England. Like they throw their club rivalries out and play as fellow countrymen. Yet this England side looks like a team of individuals, playing safe and not taking any risks. IMO I think England has had a systematic issue for a while and Southgate is just out of his depth with managing/tactics.
Do they?? Spain has been the only team that have looked decent. Don’t get me wrong England have been awful but most of the “big” nations have been poor and lacked fluency
Every country is tribal. England think they are special. In holland as soon as an ajax fan can dog a psv player they will do it as vice versa. I am sure its so for every other country.
Jordan is bordering on ty levels of delusional with his defence of Southgate, you saying that foden Saka rice Trent kane Bellingham all play with good players around them at their club but these guys are all playing together now🙈 there’s enough quality in that team to play better than how they play and unfortunately you have to put that on the manager. I think Southgate needs a high energy pressing foward instead of Kane and this team can click just like that. Watkins in for Kane and they become a diffferent team
I think he was talking about the intelligence or game management of the players they play with. That he goes on to say he thinks england lacks. You can disagree but don't be rude if you miss the entire point being made. Emoji emoji
I get Jordan's point, when you look at most countries they have a national style of play, they may have decisive players but it's part of a national style of play. With England, the style of play is abandoned for player name value. Today it's Bellingham, Kane Saka, and Foden. In my younger years, it was Gerrard, Lamps, and Rooney. It's as if the name on the shirt is more important than an English way of playing. However, Southgate tends to give the impression that he reacts instead of dictating and whenever team form dips, it makes him look like he doesn't know what he is doing.
This was probably a huge reason Ben white didn’t want to go. The last thing I want is Arsenal players getting slated in the media before the season starts
Love at the end of this weeks pod when Turkish provided the proper pronunciation, Lee had a face of confusion which said "didnt Guud Hillet play for Turkiye?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don’t usually rate Jordan but he made some good points about England teams being strategically naive. Time after time after time they go a goal up and fall apart
I think it's been a good watch has the Euros, not every game has been a 10/10 for sure but it's been entertaining.. Turkey v Georgia & Austria v Netherlands were outstanding games. Southgate is the problem for England 100% but I can see us making the final, Guehi & Stones been our best players. Nketiah £50m that's funny I'll take him back at Leeds for £8m ha. Cracking pod 👌
My dream this summer.. 40 mil for Eddie.. 30 ESR ..40 Rams..20 Nelson.. 85 martinelli .. buy bruno G .. buy Williams ..buy Bakayoko.. buy a high quality LB and back up GK
People keep saying Eddie would start for palace and Fulham but he wouldn’t. Mateta got 16 goals and 5 assists last season and looked unreal when Glasner came in and Muniz scored 9 and got 1 assist last season in his first season in England, Nketiah doesn’t start for these teams
Jordan doing his other job while engaging in the conversation at hand will never shock me. 🤣🤣 And how do I know that he is working? you can hear him typing on his laptop.
I typed a whole ESSAY while watching and JORDAN just went and hit the nail on the head.. JORDAN is spot on..! Traffic sounded like a Toilet James...😂🤣😂🤣 anyway back on topic.. The issue with England is deep and its not just the team its England as a nation, and the press play a huge part in that because they hype up these players when they've barely kicked a ball or won anything significant.. and the Fans are just as bad, because they do it throughout the season.. England have the biggest league in the world paying the highest wages, ridiculous wages, so these players deserve the critic they get, and look how they whinge when that happens.. Now to Southgate.. how is he different from any managers before him.. they've all failed..Venerbles,Hoddle, Keegan,Ericksson, Robson, even Capello, yeah Capello! Allardyce! ok that last one was for effect, but you get my drift.. They all have failed..! all of them..! so is it just down to the managers..Southgate got them to a final that no other managers have done since 66 so is it just down to Southgate..
I'm actually getting tight about the Saka left back conversation. People you do realize players lose their position due to injury. You get injured your replacement has a blinder and next thing you know it's not your spot anymore.
25:09 Jordan, English players aren't playing well because they play with foreigners, they're playing well because they're paired with the appropriate players. Rice plays with a real 6.
Heres why people want saka dropped because hes no longer shiny and new , people want palmer because hes had a good season and hes new to the team , bowen and gordan both been excellent for their teams but because their not shiny and new people arnt calling for them.
42:49 Thank you Jordan for calling out Lee regarding the supposed agenda against Arsenal, it's so tedious fans of almost every club constantly making out the whole world's against them (same goes for refereeing decisions, the media etc etc)
Foden and Bellingham are both flanked by elite wingers for their clubs. Southgate needs to make the boldest decision of his career and drop one of them (or move Bellingham into midfield which I don’t think he wants to do.)
The Saka-wrighty-leftback convo is more complicated than people are making out. I get the one end of it's not a big deal and I also get the ones saying it's BS. Moving you out of position can become very political. One game it's temporary next thing you know it's permanent. At first it's because you are so talented and versatile. Next thing you know it's Palmer "kicked him out of the position". I'm sure you don't care but if I was the player i would care.
People online do like to bring up Saka more than some of the other players because they know Arsenal fans are some of the most emotional and reactive and it will get them likes and views. You scroll through a comment section and Saka’s name comes up the most. Has he been the worst? I don’t think so. But do these comments have the most engagement? Absolutely.
In todays market nketiah is worth 40m Highest ever youth scorer for england. Plays for a massive club as second choice striker. 40m is reasonable. Hes young. Still not in his prime. Plus english tax.
Should do an episode where you do your incomings and outgoings each and prices, say start with 100m then how you would sell and buy to build your perfect squad for next season, be interesting to see how different your squads would look at the end of
That take from Jordan about England wouldn't be better with Pep is actually worse than Havertz/Kaka comparisons. Even your boy Southgate would say that your are waffling.
HATERS and idiots. I knew last summer 2023 Arsenal would sell Eddie this summer 2024. Unfortunately we have a lot of idiots in our fanbase who think they know what's the best for our club. Eddie is worth 30m. Arsenal are asking for 50m because it's negotiation tactics. Everyone who said last summer "Eddie is worthless, why 100k per week, why the number 14". Guess what? Now you know Arsenal will make full profit on selling an academy player instead of letting him leave for nothing.
So we can go another season without a trophy , hit top 4 our American owners will love it because they don’t view Arsenal as a winning team they see us a business opportunity. You arteta in brigade (I’m guessing you are under the age of 25 ) will laugh it up, another year no trophies scream next year is our year. Rinse repeat Arsenal easiest job in the world. Nice club. A business opportunity but not a winning football club
Southgate made a mistake of taking players he's not used to like Palmer, Eze. They are amazing players but there was no time to blend them together. No chemistry yet. If he had plans to take them, he should have given them their debut a year ago. Even new players take some time to blend in any team. Rashford and grealish should have been here, Madison too. Now he's scared to put them in. Even Jordan Henderson would have helped just like Erikson, Kante and Modric are helping their respective teams. Tournament isn't the time for experiments.
Wow he still finds a way to ball lick Arteta! A man who hasn’t won a trophy in 5 years and hasn’t reached a final in 5 years. Southgate is clearly worse than Arteta but that isn’t something to gloat about.
@@troy8613every other league have that kind of trophy bundesliga is DFL supercool, la liga has Spanish super cup we have community shield. You have just been owned
Disagree the tournament has been great so far...just because the smaller nations team has improve doesn't make the quality is shit....I guess you would rather a predictable tournament...Tournament's favorite nation has been catch up by other nations
Jordan is just waffling. Southgate is terrible and hasn't done anything good for England. The semi final and the final was with the easiest routes I've ever seen and other England managers didn't achieve that because they actually played against elite teams and didn't get Denmark in a semi final at English ground to get to the final, or meeting Sweden and Colombia to get to a semi final in the WC just to lose to Croatia which is a nation with less than five millions people. Southgate has only achieved the bare minimum, nothing extra. He's not elite, he's a decent guy, but elite football is ruthless and you also need a ruthless manager. And saying that Pep or Klopp wouldn't do better with this England team than Southgate is bare waffling. Ofc they would and saying anything else just shows that you have no football knowledge.
We haven't been bad sellers just because we couldn't get high prices but because we don't know when to sell. Amn had a 20m bid rejected then went for free as an example Time to get rid of Eddie, ESR, reiss, lokonga, patino, zinni is now
Saka has played LB beforr and he CAN play there, but the fact is he hasn't in maybe 3 years? He will not become the LB he was before in time for England to do a deep run.
Jordon remember the system that Southgate employs does not allow the players to be at their best, look at what happens to Rice in the Denmark game, he is doing two man's job and that y he looks so bad, the system is wrong and Southgate doesn't know how to correct it, unlike my manager Arteta or Pep or Klopp, they know what to do, they are students of the game
All those making out that Nketiah is only worth £10 mil....why you hating? 😂 Eddie will come good just you wait and see....regular game time does wonders for a striker.... ask Darren Bent, Darius Vassel, Jermaine Defoe....and recently Ivan Toney... Ivan Toney came of prominence at age 28, 28! Eddie 25!
Let's put value to our players guys Nketiah is a good player as Cole Palmer But arsenal never put value to their academy graduates, we never sell a player more than 50 million
It's so sad that Jordan is the only one in the panel that actually half-understands the slander in that Ian Wright comment about Saka playing LB, where in an attempt to force "objectivity" to suit his employers and fellow white pundits ,he decided to throw Saka under the bus to pander to rival fans. Anyone that has played football in his life understands the message passed when you tell your best attacker and only offensive outlet to play in defence. For Turkish, I'm not surprise at his naivety as he consistently gets bamboozled even on 'the big6' when Arsenal best players get indirectly slandered by rival fans. Almost as if he is slow. Saying Saka should play LW,AM or even RCM are suggestions. Saying Saka should play LB and still capping it with Palmer in RW is a slander, originally made for Twitter banter, but certain people thought it wise to bring it on National TV. Except you are as naive as Turkish, WE ALL KNOW EXACTLY WHAT WE ARE DOING. I wonder why no pundit or ex-Liverpool player ever said Salah should be played in LB when Robertson n Tsimikas were injured- afterall he also played LB as a teenager. Foden also once played LB for City as a teenager, why didnt Ian Wright say he should be the one to play LB. And as a matter of fact, Saka didnt even play LB as a teenager, he played a few games in LWB in a very offensive sense-like Henry did at Juventus, Xhaka was the one that constantly dropped to LB. I dont remember anyone stvp!d enough to say Henry should play LB when Abidal,AshleyCole or/and Clichy were unavailable for club or country "because he played some games in LB(LWB) for Juve as a teenager".
Saka isn't as special as we think, his just above average hence we questioned if his world class. There things he does or lack there off that excludes him from being Top of the table player.

Rinse repeat
Arsenal easiest job in the world. Nice club. A business opportunity but not a winning football club
49:12 keyboard warrior killing them!!!
So is it turkiyesh ldn now?
My boy Jordan talking a lot of sense! (Only took 3 years😂)
Edited : Never mind I haven’t finished listening to the podcast
He's won 3 actually. Come with knowledge before spouting garbage.
@@thevision645 He’s only won an FA cup you mug. The community shield is a charity game.
@@thevision645 The community shield is a charity game. But you wouldn’t know that because you’re 10 years old.
@@troy8613classed as a trophy on every PL clubs website. Anyway, your statement was false lmao
@@troy8613every other league have that kind of trophy bundesliga is DFL supercool, la liga has Spanish super cup we have community shield. You have just been owned
Southgate's defensive nature has now become a internet meme
James' Jordanian moment. "I don't really care. I'm spending my summer watching Love Island." Yikes. At least Griselda is a good show!
We haven't been bad sellers just because we couldn't get high prices but because we don't know when to sell. Amn had a 20m bid rejected then went for free as an example
Time to get rid of Eddie, ESR, reiss, lokonga, patino, zinni is now
Saka has played LB beforr and he CAN play there, but the fact is he hasn't in maybe 3 years? He will not become the LB he was before in time for England to do a deep run.
Jordon remember the system that Southgate employs does not allow the players to be at their best, look at what happens to Rice in the Denmark game, he is doing two man's job and that y he looks so bad, the system is wrong and Southgate doesn't know how to correct it, unlike my manager Arteta or Pep or Klopp, they know what to do, they are students of the game
How many national sides have u managed to a Euro final?
If it's not Jordan leaving before the stream ends, he's typing about leaving while the stream ends. 😂
Can we the fans do the prediction league with you 4 this coming season???
Jordan really yappin man
All those making out that Nketiah is only worth £10 mil....why you hating? 😂
Eddie will come good just you wait and see....regular game time does wonders for a striker.... ask Darren Bent, Darius Vassel, Jermaine Defoe....and recently Ivan Toney... Ivan Toney came of prominence at age 28, 28!
Eddie 25!
France, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Portugal are struggling, but only Southgate is the worst 😂😂😂
Here’s a suggestion, how about you just play players in their natural position ?
Let's put value to our players guys
Nketiah is a good player as Cole Palmer
But arsenal never put value to their academy graduates, we never sell a player more than 50 million
RIP Super Kev
England need to try play back 3 formation 😅
more bellends than bluebells❤
It’s like Jordan lost the bet and had to defend Southgate! Man he was floundering 😂
Makes sense Jordan likes Southgate. Common denominator: both disliked by everyone
If you watch other matches than every big nation you will see that is a good euros.
Saka isn't as special as we think, his just above average hence we questioned if his world class. There things he does or lack there off that excludes him from being Top of the table player.
Jordan is a people watcher’s dream
Jamie…. Love your honesty … 😂😂😂😂😂
