    Great video and great job showing the differences. Plugin sounds great and costs less than a set of tubes and bias for the amp. Amp for the win of course, but it's hard to argue with the price to performance issue, particularly if you factor in the reactive load or cab and mics and pres. Big kudos for your English too. :) I can't imagine how hard it is trying to remember words or phrases or pronunciations in another language, but you communicate very effectively regardless. Oh yeah, your playing and tone is great too. ;)

      Oh thanks Adam!
      It’s indeed like you said but I gotta admit that this one sounds and feels really close 👌.
      Yeah it’s a bit tricky sometimes but luckily I have the guitar vocabulary down quite well since reading US guitar magazines for so many years 😎.

    That was an inspirational video. Forced me to re-examine my Mooer Preamp Live and Two Notes Torpedo CAB M+. I think I nailed it pretty damn close after watching this video and the one on the two Scandinavian JCM 800’s. Such a killer Metal sound 🤘 Pretty happy with the results of the Mooer/Torpedo combo. I used a Revv 2/12 cab in the Torpedo. It’s a sound that just makes you want to play a long time. The Torpedo models EL34’s in pentode or triode modes. You were right though. Not too saturated but just enough and you get that bit of thickened power amp body. Question: Have you tried the Studio Classic 2203? Was thinking about that one or a Friedman JJ Jr. I got no place to crank out a 100 watt model.

      It is indeed \m/.
      I haven't tried the Classic 2203 but I'll post a video soon where I show how one can crank a 100w amp into 4x12 cab and still play at bedroom level so stay tuned ;-).

    Using plug-ins and processors just makes it much easier and quicker to record. Miking up the speakers and amp and getting your recording sound right is such a pain in the arse. And the quality is really good these days. I know, that's lazy talk. But it is so much easier to come back to the studio for me and simply plug in and lay down takes.

    • @EugeValovirta230V
      @EugeValovirta230V  3 года назад +1

      Indeed. Or if you have tube amps connected to a reactive load with great IRs into an audio interface and DAW it’s as easy as recording / playing with plugins but just sounds a bit better 😎.

      @@EugeValovirta230V I need to look into that. My Mesa has a balanced XLR out for direct recording, but I honestly just don't like how it sounds direct. I've been heavily using my MOOER GE250 direct for so much and have come to really like it for recording.

      Thanks! Real drums played by our (Cyhra) drummer Alex Landenburg or Alex’s substitute (when he is busy with Kamelot) Adde Larsson or Toontracks’ SD3 or Bogren Digital’s Krimh Drums (midi). I mix those too like I mix real drums by having dry midi drums routed as multi outputs to DAW👌.

    Really the best JCM800 plugin

  • @squeezenor
    @squeezenor 3 года назад +1

    first off, you got an amazing tone from the softube. subscribed! i'll be looking closer at those settings. second, the stock jcm800 is the worst amp sim in the collection, in my opinion. it's very dark and compressed compared to any of the other marshalls. there's nothing the stock 800 does that the (very expensive) jmp 2203 or 2033kk doesn't do better (even if i don't love the cabs they come with). worth the demo, for sure. they are more open and have that depth you mentioned was lacking.
    i also highly recommend the greenback cab and the trident a range eq, but everything is great. i own every single amp room component now, which is a little sad. my favorite amp sim by far; like it more than neural, ml sound labs and amplitube.

    Neural dsp Nameless, Cali (plexi) blows softube out of the water, amproom is way over priced, only worth it ig you want 2-3 marshall heads, the effects suk, no wonder they ask a great guitar player like Euge to waste his time on this backwards Swedish company….and wait a sec, are not STL tones packed with way more then amproom?
    Pay softube if you are a sucker for the marshall logo or buy a stl tone set if you like to give sounding as good as Euge a chance, atleast your covered sound wise…the rest is your playing
