The first ten years this mall was open you had to drive around 30 minutes to find a parking space. I think it had one of the first food courts. Before the food court the restaurants were spread out all over the mall. Einstein’s bagels were amazing!
Regency has a little storefront open now that is just old photos and news clippings from its history. Pics of all the old stores and restaurants. Good times!
🚲 THE ORANGE BOWL has to be my favorite, and FARRELL'S was my first job as a bus boy. In the 70's FARRELL'S and O'BRIENSTEIN'S had inner doors that closed about 9:55 , but outer doors that stayed open til midnight. Then generally a tailgate party would linger til 2. Had no idea it could ever end back then.😷
🤔 Does the public bus EVEN go to the Malls on a SATURDAY? WHEN I LIVED IN BORING RICHMOND NO BUSES WHEN TO THE MALL ON A SATURDAY ☹️HAD TO MOVE BACK UP NORTH.
The wall being gone now makes this so cool I remember I grew up around this area but if a nostalgia trip swing the wall lol

Yeah that's me too. As a kid I loved O'FARRELLs and Obriansteins. Later working at Quocassin Station I always ate lunch at Dunderbachs.
