- Liz at Mystery Ranch covers some new 2022 products worth more than just a passing look, like the lightweight Gunfighter 14 with rip access interior, hydration compatibility, and simple pocket structures to add whatever fits your mission. Expanding the design's storage is the Gunfighter 24 option with 4-way zip access and locking toggles that keep the bag from opening unexpectedly. For those extended outings, the Blackjack 35 is the answer for those who want a smaller version of the 50L model that is already one of their best sellers. With top load access and their shroud system, you get full access instead of having to dive into your bag blind for what you need. More to come in 2022 from Mystery Ranch, so stay tuned for the Assault line launching in May and June of this year!

Really digging that 24L.
I miss “Made in Bozeman, MT” on the labels. While I’m sure these are good bags, they are NOT the made-in-the-USA bags that built the reputation.
I read so many reviews saying the quality had dropped when production of the non-military lines moved out of the US, so I was a little nervous about receiving my UA 21. All I can say in response is that the quality must have been through the roof with the made in the US stuff, as I've never had a piece of equipment made in Vietnam that's been to such a high quality. I bet the factory hate MR's QC!
It's ISO9001 so I doubt that
@@samwebb585 I’m sure that they’re still well-made bags. They’re probably fine when loaded properly or light-duty EDC. Also, MR developed construction techniques and designs that when correctly duplicated, regardless of material, will result in a durable and comfortable bag. However, you can buy used MR military packs that have survived combat deployments and are still perfectly usable. I hate when companies off-shore instead of investing in the US, especially when they built that reputation here with American workers and materials.
@@Danefrak I’m not sure I understand your comment. Are you saying that because MR is ISO9001 certified that you are doubtful that the bag can be good? or the opposite, that they can’t make bad bags because they are ISO9001? My company (machining and fabrication) was once ISO9001 certified. I can tell you that it made very little difference in the quality of our products other than Corrective Actions to address non-conformances. Having a formal corrective process for issues was an advantage. However, the expense and labor cost of maintaining certification was very prohibitive for a small company. Furthermore, most of our customers didn’t care about our internal quality processes, but required that we follow theirs. So having our own processes was pretty much pointless, since we had to follow theirs and their documentation anyway.
I purchased the blackjack 80 last month and looking forward to using it shortly.
How is it? I’ve been thinking about getting one myself.
@@jeorunner I'd say it's the Cadillac of rucks in my opinion. Very comfortable, my cons are that drain holes for the three molded pouch should've been added and main compartment should of opened like a suitcase.
that zipper shroud thing on the last bag is pretty cool. reminds me of a gusseted tongue on a shoe
Too bad their stuff is no longer made in the states
Thats not a "harness system" those are fixed sewn in straps (which suck compared to MR yoke)
"clam shell opening 'system'" 😂
everything is a system apparently
Hi , I want to know when is the RAID 32 are going to release?
Love their Futura Harness!! Hugs your back perfectly not to mention how well it carries heavier loads. I've owned their bighorn pack which came with a built in stick it. Great pack! I went to their bridger pack which was another great pack! I also own the camelbak trizip pack which was a collaberation with mystery ranch. Came with the futura harness and i really loved their removable padded waist belt. I kinda which the mystery ranch 3 day assault pack and komoto dragon packs came with a more substantial/removable load bearing waist belt. Ran through the lumbar pad like camelbak did with the trizip. The quality of mystery ranches pack materials goes way beyond any pack i've ever owned. I look forward to their new bridger 55 pack! Thanks Mystery Ranch!!
A 1.5 Day assault pack would sell like hot cakes. 24L is like a sweet spot. The 27L on the 2DAP is just too big for edc, especially the thickness when looking from a side profile view.
I love Mystery Ranch
Have a Philippine Bridger. Carries well but had stitching popped out off box. Just sits now. Had the bighorn also(USA) but it had the multi piece buckles which would fly apart if overtighted. Drove me nuts. Had to carry spares. Not what I expected for reputation. They did offer to repair bridger.
Meh. For a day pack in this size range, Outdoor Products backpack from Walmart ftw.
Taiwan ranch at this point.
