Where did he get the electric axle from?
I used to work on mobility equipment, so a lot of those three or four wheel scooters. So with that I can say this axle was way more robust than what I've ever seen, even heavy duty 500lb+ capacity models, so NOT a mobility scooter axle. Golf cart would be my next guess but honestly it's only a guess.

With the pin at the front that pushes the wheel to the right, if the pin came to the back it would push the wheel to the left.
