- Partially completed guitar body sample that shows multiple steps in the process of milling a guitar body on a ShopBot CNC machine. This sample was created at ShopBot headquarters and was displayed at our 2023 NAMM Show booth.

How does the back get done then? just flipped on the same reference holes?
Exactly - a set of dowel holes can be cut into the spoilboard and used to accurately locate the part after the flip. Just remember which way you're supposed to flip it (top to bottom or left to right!)

What guitar builder is this?
This guitar body sample was cut on a ShopBot Desktop MAX CNC machine at ShopBot headquarters in Durham, North Carolina. The software we used for the design is Vectric Aspire. This is a partially finished sample to show different stages and levels of carving. Let us know if you have any other questions! Thanks!

This is one of my favorite bodies.
Are these carved top sg's for sale somewhere?
@@j-rod6420 no problem! We have a few guitar players that work at ShopBot and we thought it would be a good experiment for a trade show sample. With your own ShopBot CNC machine, you can make any custom guitar you can dream up! If that would ever be a consideration, call or email any time!
