Respected Ma'am, being the greatest grammarian of all time on this planet, you are earnestly entreated with folded hands to change the following Direct Speech to an Indirect one -Question -Direct-The students said,"Sir, please allow us to play in the field".
Good morning the best and nicest teacher . Concerning reported speech , i have seen in many books that the following : here becomes there , this becomes that , these becomes those , ago becomes then , and so forth
Thanks a lot Aga! I have heard that some adverbs should be changed either! (today-that day; now-then; yesterday-the day before; tomorrow-the next day or the following day; last week-the previous week......) ❤❤❤
Hi, I've just a note on the first sentence with the verb like. Such a verb continues in time, nothing informs us that she stopped liking chocolate. So when we we use the reported form, we still apply the present to the verb like. It appears like strange when we use the past. In my mind of course. Thanks 🙏
Teacher, would you be that kind to explain the meaning of the verb "get" plus an adjective or the past participle of a verb and how it changes its meaning at all.
The past tense of "must" is "had to" so I think in reported speech "must" should change to "had to" Example: you must pay attention = she told me I had to pay attention
I went shopping on monday...past change to present perfect and not to past perfect: She said she has gone shopping on monday......Could you correct it?
Respected Ma'am, could you please change the following narration change from the Direct sentence to the Indirect one -Question -She said,"Had i the wings of a bird!"(Turn it into an Indirect speech)
Would you please Mrs. Aga clear this one for me, in your previous video, you talked about the present perfect tence and gave an example about owning a car and says"I have had my car for 5 years", can you say "I had my car for 5 years" and the meaning still be the same or not, and why? Thank you so much in advance.

Ahm k have a problem my class teacher told that must is changing to has to or have to
You are respectable no doubt.

I had my car means that you had it in the past and you don’t have it anymore. So the meaning is different
Asalamu alykum Aga mam.
