    Thanks Kim. I'm surprised you needed to use that special jam sugar, I'd have thought there was loads of pectin in kumquats already.
    I bet those jars would be fine for a year or more, I keep jams and marmalades in the fridge forever 😂😂

      Hi Brett. I was experimenting with this jam-setting sugar. I have never used it before. I am a newbie to making jam. Yes, kumquats are loaded with pectin. I was thinking the same thing about the jars of jam lasting a long time in the frig. I felt that next time I would use sugar because of the excess amount of pectin in the seeds of the kumquats. I am looking forward to making more jam with all this fruit. Wish you were here helping us eat the piles of fruit here in Fruitopia. Perhaps someday you can visit us and we can break bread.       @@reallifefuntopia8273 yes one day health and finance permitting I definitely plan to visit family in Australia again, and I'm hoping to put a few days aside to drop in on RUclips gardening friends down under 😁
