It's pretty similar to the weather im the Newcastle area where I live although it gets a tad warmer because I live a tad more inland, we got a forecast of a 30°C maximum today but it only got up to 25°C but it was as rather pleasant day.. Tomorrow they've forecasted a 28°C day and a cold front is meant to be coming through for Tuesday which will drop the temperature.down to 19°C only for it to ramp back up into the high 20's afterwards. That's why I like living where I do because I can grow that Cassava which needs at least 6 warm months of the year to grow & I noticed that my cassava plants weren't starting to grow back so I dug up the tubers out of their pots & made some mash potato out of them which was very nice. I cut the canes up then I replanted them so I will grow some more Cassava,by the end of next year I will have them growing in the ground on another property,I will just cut the ones that I am growing now up & keep those canes for the next spring this coming winter. They might grow like a weed here if ai plant enough Cassava canes & they die back during July which is the coldest month of the year ?

Yes,it got up to 32°C on the last week of August quite a few years ago down my way in Newcastle in New South Wales but a cold front came through on the first week of September & cooled things down for a bit to 17°C. Today it got up to 28°C & although it was sunny the big wind gusts came through at 10AM this morning & they're still with us a bit tonight,if was a nice & warm day otherwise. We're meant to be having a cold front come through in mid September but I will see if that is going to happen then, it's meant to bring us 20°C days as forecasted !

We thought we loose the roof, it was scary 😧

We went to watson bay to do the walk what a weird place the gap where many have passed weird vibe horrible muffin as well from coffee shop.u can swim thier but a weird place

👍 things are flowing in Melbourne Plum trees apricots , Almonds trees Peaches and nectarines trees. Cherries 🍒 not yet. White Sapote is got flowers. But Spring can be a dangerous time for young plants to die. So we will see next month what baby plants make it. Mangoes in grow bags are going ok except for one the Pickering which I’m working on keeping alive it’s not happy and May die from the grafted part. Looking forward to the update of your Garden when you get back to Melbourne. Enjoy your time in Paradise 👍

I am always surprised how those coconut palms grow in nothing but sand! Is there any organic material in there?

Papaya plants just about grow Wild in the subtropics as well like in the Mullumbimby area in New South Wales both of my aunties had a self sown one growing either in their backyard or near their place. One of them did behind her old yard there until my uncle died of prostate cancer & she sold the house to move into a granny flat adjoining her daughter & husbands place at Cairns in Queensland. They will probably grow like that in the Newcastle area but they like full exposure to sunlight at dawn so that the frost won't kill them !

How’s the holiday going? Look like you both are having a great time ? Much needed to get away from Melbourne cold. Missing the Fruitopia Videos ? Things are starting up early flowing of fruit trees. I’m still at battle with Possums with the Paw Paw tree it’s still alive but had its leaves eaten. Sadly the other young south red paw paw i put in spring last year didn’t make it. I planted next to the lager one but it died even with protection so there seems to be a bit of luck with this as it was in the same spot. Looks forward to when you get back of a Garden update ?
