The game is good in general, but I would like to have a talk with whoever thought the wind mechanic was a good idea. I mean, it's funny at the beginning, but at the end it's just exhausting.
Took me a lot of time to get it right, for those who are still stuck at 7:50, the correct way to do it is to keep pressing jump without holding grab, don't release your jump button too early as you want big jumps instead of smaller ones. I kept failing cause I was mashing the jump button like crazy resulting in small jumps that doesn't move me upwards.
7:50 it took me literally more than 100 deaths to collect this f*ckin' strawberry! It looks much easier than it is, because Madeline gets exhausted from climbing and is unable to climb back if we don't do this perfectly.
Darren Time perhaps the level has been redesigned a little since the video came out. I don't remember, at this point I have all strawberries, all hearts and I'm in the middle of Chapter 9 :) I think collecting this strawberry would be much easier for me now, as I know how to perform the neutral jump.
@@rafadydkiemmacha7543 i did it with assist mode i dont think its possible i tryed to find a diffrent video but i could not find one the gap is now 1 block bigger and there are spikes on the other side so you cant stand there and collect it its weird... there is no way yo do it on the way he showd it haha
Darren Time back then, I did it somehow, but it must have been just a pixel perfect run. I went crazy with this strawberry. In the video he actually starts to climb quite late, before that he does the wall jump. So he doesn't use the stamina until that first jump to jump over the spikes and reach another wall. See how he bounces on that wall below the spikes instead of just climbing it. That's the trick, but my experience shows that it's also possible to do without the wall jump (or maybe I did a wall jump without knowing lol). 😁
For the 7:50 strawberry you can also get it by hanging on the wall on the right side of the room, jumping left, then dashing straight up when under the strawberry. You then hold right to grab the wall bottom right when you're falling down. Might take a couple of tries, but I find it easier than the method in the video.
9:55 got stuck on this for ages. actually completed this area in a different way. The part where you need to get the icon so the block with the spikes moves out of the way to the right. You can actually get the block to go over it and cling to the side.
Also was stuck on this one for a long time, what I did in the end was to pick up the blue thing to make the spike block go away, then jump all the way back to the start and pick a new floating block (:
7:25 I stopped playing Celeste for about a week because of this part. So now that I found out how to get through by watching this video, I'll try to continue the game.
@@daywalker3735yeah true, you gotta tell urself that how to vids aren’t made by people experiencing the game for the first time on their first playthrough ya know
For the people who are struggling on 7:50 you can just wall jump and dash when you make it to the strawberry, but you won't be out of stamina when you get to the ledge of the entrance so you can climb up and get the strawberry. I hope what I said makes sense, if you're confused please ask me what didn't make sense and I'll try my best to explain.
Even if you run out of stamina you can ride the wall jump back, making it into something you can do as many things as you like. The trick is getting hight enough so you can then dash over to the strawberry and climb up on the other side. Easily B-side difficulty and infuriating because this isn't something that is obvious. Not even while demonstrated in this video. They did patch it slightly though to make it less of a pain to do, although it still is.
Ok I understand. When you make the first jump and hit the opposite wall, do NOT hold the grab button. Just jump up the wall until you hit the first set of spikes, and then grab the wall so you can get over them. This will give you enough stamina to climb up the wall near the entrance after the jump-dash combo when you touch the strawberry.
I kid you not, I started crying once I finished this due to the last three sections and I literally had to slow myself down and breathe because I was pushing myself too hard, I even felt like Celeste want for me which goes to show how much effort you have to put in just for some of these chapters.

For the first strawberry of old trail at around 7:40, what I found to work is that you can actually make a dash in the frame before you enter the secret strawberry area, so you can get across to the left wall quicker, and if you do it right, you should jump almost as soon as the scene changes, and you should end up right below the bottom spikes on the left wall after just one jump. Then you should have enough stamina to finish in a couple tries.

He's getting better at the game 😅. I thoght he was a bot

1:41 is stupidly hard
I didnt know i can move to boxex i watch this video after 2 hours
12:00 absolutely ridiculous
9:56 Ah thats how its done.
I FIGURED OUT STRAWBERRY 18 U GOTTA DO THE DASHUP OFF THE WALL THING
timestamp? since i don't know which is the 18th
10:03 Dude I was overcomplicating this shit I didn’t know that’s how you did it
Wait, how come there is a way through the roof at the 5:38 mark? I have that blocked!
Same here, did you figure it out? I got all the strawberries and now I’m just locked in this area
@@SudChid-p9y naa, I left it and started Zelda TOTK. Hopefully someone answers our question eventually
Same :((
9:25 I end up takeing the long way around at the top.. I tied so many times trying to jump between the gasp to get to that strawberry
I took moving for granted
5:41 so you're telling me that i climbed the stone between the 2paths and then jumped and dashed perfectly in a way that both avoid the spikes and land at the top of the platform, all that for no thing?
1:48 How did you jump that high while wall jumping? I can't get it to do that
same
@@bluenacho5964 maybe wall jumping in the vertical direction (up) rather than in the diagonal one will help ?
9:48 How in the name of god did you do that in one dash?
3:54 it took me so long to figure out you csn control these i feel so dumb 😭
12:00 a littpe help, anyone? Clouds work perfectly fine with every other area, but this one cloud just won't bounce me no matter what I try, making it impossible to beat.
IS THAT A SUPER MARIO BROS 3 REFERENCE?!?!
7:50
Did they updated the game? Because I just played this level and the rock at the left has spikes on its left side except for one part. I thought it was a secret zone or path, but once i reached it, it was just death for fall and an invisible wall.
How disappointing
Game did get an update, so yes i geus
@@barrolboi5101 why did they had to do that, a secret zone would have been perfect in there.
Heck if i know
I've been skipping strawberries collecting, maybe this doesn't help Madeline's jumps?
I'm stuck at 8:36, seems like she doesn't jump all the way with the cloud
The room at 7:47 is different now, there is ice on the entire left side and you can't go there. I'm at a loss for how to even do this now...
On top of that, the little lip that you latch on to is now a flat surface, they removed it. I have no idea how this is able to be completed now...
Strange. I didn't realize they had changed things. I'll have to go back and look at that.
@@TripleSLeague spent a long time on it but finally got it.
Still working on it, i'm going crazy
@@lecorbeaucassecouilles7365 Don't grab the ledge ledge, as you jump left, just bounce all the way up. The wind will push you back to the wall to continue wall jumping without grabbing the wall and you will gain elevation. Grab towards the top by the spike, jump over the spike, and continue bouncing to the top. Grab, jump dash right, and you'll land with the berry. Best way I can describe it.
5:18, been trying this jump for 20mins :(
Did it!!!!
6:00 IM STILL STUCK OH MY GOD
I cannot jump at 12:01 how to do it plz
