- We pulled the best of the best of Federal Premium's Black Cloud with Dr. Duck and Billy Campbell from the 2019-2020 duck season.
Black Cloud’s almost-live weekly action will offer public land duck hunters valuable information on what waterfowl conditions are currently - without giving away specific locations. Dennis and Billy’s main goals are to share knowledge, encourage new duck hunters, and teach public land/water etiquette.
Black Cloud is all about the journey. Follow Dennis and Billy from September through January and get a real behind-the-scenes look at what’s it’s like to hunt ducks for five straight months on public land. Of course, these guys will show you all their tricks for scouting, calling and setting up on the hardest hunted birds on the flyways.

Dr. Duck and Billy Campbell find the X-but they're pretty sure they'll have competition come sunrise. And if you "ain't first, you're last." They set up camp, sleep at the ramp, and are waiting at first light, when the feet-down mallards come pouring in.
13:14 - Washington Public-Land Duck Hunting
In this week's episode, Dr. Duck and Billy Campbell start their 2019 duck vacation on public land. After a couple days tracking birds, they pin-point a feeding area and team up with a couple locals to get after 'em. It's a public-land cornfield -- a field of dreams -- but they have a hard decision to make.
26:10 - Greenhead Delight: Shooting Mallards in the Fog
Dr. Duck and Billy Campbell make mallards fall from the fog in this Washington bonus hunt. It's a duck hunter's paradise and these two duck-killin' compadres get the barrels hot and the limits full.
28:54 - Freelance Hunting the Dakotas
Dr. Duck and Billy Campbell head north to the Dakotas to get a jump on the 2019 duck season with Ed McDonough and friends. Stale weather and too much water make field hunting a bust, but a cold front and a pothole covered in birds quickly changes the tempo, and helps the crew ring in the new season in style.

Love yalls content. Billy you talk about the grind a lot and the journey. Thats why i love yalls videos. Yall put in the work to kill the heavily pressured public land birds and i respect that! Lord knows there are a lot more busts than beat downs but in the end it is all worth it!!

There are 2 groups that are killing ducks( consistantly) 1 the( rich) old timer that leased all the good spots. And the young guys on crack that get in the holes at 2am that never have to sleep. The days when you could take your ducks and get them plucked and cleaned whole for 50 cents / are a distant memory.

Excellent question. I don't.
People duck hunt because it’s usually a really fun time with friends and family. It becomes tradition and something you look forward to every year. It’s a difficult and rewarding sport. At the end of the day everyone who enjoys waterfowl hunting will leave with a smile on their face and memories made. It’s also good eating.
Cause its no sport to go to the local grocery store for your meat and see a bunch of snowflakes walking around with their brand new carharts and camo on, but never had the experience with friends, family, and fowl......
When you hear someone say all the ducks are on the river. and they are hunting open water . That means they have never hunted the "river" and have no clue about duck hunting. Might as well pay that Guide instead of trying to beat the local rappers to the pothole.
