Totally worth it. Love kylo Ren. I've got all the types of his saber. The cheap kids one to the galaxy edge. My favorite is the supreme leader version. For price for design for playability. Everything. The supreme leader kylo Ren is the best.
I have the black series one and ordered the elite from target the other day. It was on sale for 120 and I got a 25 off 100 or more so with tax it was 104!

This is a difficult comparison, if you could rebuild the black series into a Neopixel it would be the perfect Kylo Ren saber and here is why. The FX ELITE is brighter (which everyone cares the most about) but the black series feels more real, like it was made with better quality, better sounding. The FX ELITE has the worst ignition switch placement in lightsaber history, 1 twirl can easily turn the lightsaber off. The FX ELITE also is not accurate sound to movement it makes random blaster deflection noises when you do anything with it. Cosmetic wise the FX ELITE comes out on top but durability, quality wise the black series triumphs.
I own both of these by the way, my FX ELITE does not work below temperatures of 40-50 degrees it simply will refuse to turn on. While the Black series has never done that to me, I only still own the FX ELITE because I bought it on sale for $150 when it was originally $300 if it weren’t for that I would’ve returned it.
That is exactly what we thought! It was a very close comparison. Stay tuned, we are going to do an epic comparison with some very high end Kylo sabers. Might help you make up your mind. 😉

I don’t care for the flicker, but I don’t like how you can’t remove the blades on the black series. I LOVE the sounds tho and the ignition!
As of today, Hasbro is still selling the Black Series Elite on eBay for $150 with free shipping, I bought mine a few weeks back.
