Richard L That’s pretty stupid considering the turnaround NZ are capable of. Lost to Australia in 2015, then put 40+ points on them a week later. Looked terrible in pool play of that tournament, then put on a quarter final masterclass a week later. Got dominated by Ireland in Chicago, then dominated them a week later back in Ireland.

It was quite obvious that the Wallabies were the better side even before that red card but the sending off of Scott Barrett did indeed impact the outcome of the game. Not trying to take anything away from the Wallabies who played outstandingly well, but they did score five of their six tries once they gained that numerical advantage.
The game was played at a high pace and the All Blacks weren't the only ones guilty of taking their physicality too far. Kurtley Beale can be seen deliberately shoulder charging Jack Goodhue after the ABs centre grubbered the ball ahead for Anton Lienert-Brown to score. It might not have been forceful contact with the head like Barrett had done, but it was still a blatant shoulder charge that was missed by the officials.
The Wallabies did create history. This equaled the biggest losing margin in close to 600 test matches for the All Blacks, matching their 28-7 defeat to the Wallabies in 1999. It is the most tries and points ever scored against the All Blacks in a single match and eclipses the 35 points the Wallabies scored in the 2000 "game of the century" in Sydney.
The Wallabies will have to create more history in the second test if they're going to win back the Bledisloe Cup. The game is at Eden Park, a venue where the Wallabies haven't won a game since 1986, during a time where most of the top players for the All Blacks had been shut out of the team for going on the "Cavaliers Tour" to South Africa while South Africa were in sporting isolation because of Apartheid.
On top of that, the Wallabies haven't beaten the All Blacks in New Zealand since 2001. The ABs will be hurting from this record equaling and breaking defeat and have seven days to turn around their fortunes to stop the Bledisloe Cup going west. It should be another enthralling encounter and hopefully the ABs can get some payback.

these are high-end training games, all that matters is beating whoever is put in front of you in Japan. For me the AB's are still the toughest opponent to face in a knock-out game.

Losing bledisloe or rugby championship is some sort of master plan to win the rugby world cup? I can't believe what I'm sometimes hearing from all black supporters. It's like I'm in the matrix. Difficult to tell if serious or not.
I always maintained, the rest of the world would eventually catch upto the all blacks and their dominance would not last forever. There have been many signs this is the case.
Finally a Wallabies side thats a real genuine threat, not just a side that might beat NZ if everything goes there way.
