@@stratfordbaby Chargeback dispositions take anywhere from 30-60 business days to resolve between the bank, merchant, and cardholder. She likely did not get notice of the reversal being successful until that point in time because it probably went through 2 steps, receipt retrieval then chargeback. It's a lengthy process and depending on your bank it can be a real hassle.
Not saying she DIDN'T intend for this to happen, because she did give me off vibes especially saying "I dont know what he does to my hair" then proceeds to detail a boliage and whatever else, but from experience with chargebacks I can say that part of it could have been possible.

Dealing with this right now. Worked for a customer on an exterior renovation.
The first portion had to be put on hold for permit delays.
Started a second job on the home. Finished and paid.
Started a third job on the home, finished and paid.
Then when I didn’t jump through every hoop he threw at me (wasn’t part of our contract and I had no obligation to oblige) he started telling me I couldn’t take other work while waiting for the permit?
Like are you nuts? You can’t tell a contractor not to take other work while ona delay.
Tf you want me to sit and wait without any income? Make other customers wait for no good reason?
Then when he got mad I wasn’t listening to his odd demands he started tampering with the work, I asked in writing at least 3-4 times to stop.
He started going on my scaffold, using my ladders, touching and moving and using my tools.
I said flat out if you don’t stop im going to have to leave.
Eventually the complete buffoon broke one of my ladders. Here’s the kicker.
Didn’t tell me it was broken. Instead of being a real man and owning his stupidity and paying for the ladder, he left it there and endangered my life.
I was about to climb the ladder. Were it still summer I would’ve used the ladder.
Only reason I knew it was loved was the snow imprints.
So I was curious and looked at the ladder as it was lying on a cinderblock unevenly (I’d never do that, always lay them flat they are my lifeline) and there was a giant crack running down the side.
I told him that’s it I’m done, I have written warnings several time and written admission of continuing the behaviour.
I told him I’m leaving the job, and that I can refund him a certain amount for the remaining unfinished work.
He calls the police and tried to have me removed from the property while taking my equipment.
Police told him “no you can’t keep his things hostage, you need to stay away from him, foo not impede him or touch his belongings”.
So then the fool started reversing all the credit card charges, many of them for completed work he was completely satisfied with.
His response? “Well how else am I supposed to pay someone else to finish?”
Like gee I wonder. Reverse only the portion of payments regarding the unfinished work?
Not to reverse a bunch of payments for completed work you were satisfied with?
Now it’s searched court records and come to find he did the exact same thing to another contractor before me.
So I’m going to get together with that last contractor and bring him to court.
Some people are straight up delusional.

You can negatively review something. If he had said she was standing outside his salon handing out fliers about his business being a scam or something then she probably would’ve heard it.

She can leave a bad review, even if it's out of spite. It's only slanderous if she claims he grabbed her boob, etc.

Some people are complete freaking morons. She said she didn’t pay because he served her with papers. They always say that as if they can’t still just pay the money. Once the money is paid there’s no reason to go to court.

As someone who colors their hair constantly and intricately, different processes are required for different looks. Sometimes I need a bleached highlight to lift color in order to deposit another. Sometimes I need a glaze, a toner, etc.... And yes, every time it costs different depending on what is done and the products used.

So, what it boiled down to was that she refused to pay because she got a court notice because she was a deadbeat on the service?
If she had paid the bill, she wouldn't have gotten a court notice. Or been a deadbeat.
