this has to be the best ride in the park. not to intense, not to fast, but enough to keep yu satisfied and wanting more. this was my first 'upside down' rollercoster ever, and i loved it!!
I'm going again to Dorney Park in 2 days on October 31,2010. I cannot wait! :) This ride was an blast and I lovedd it. I'm looking forward to going and one of the rides i'm soooo cited about is HYDRAA! Wish me Sunshine and fun at...DORNEY PARK!!
Im 10 and I think this ride is all fun and thrilling in a good and safe way! Hydra is fun not scary one bit. Just to tell you.. i was in the front row at 9 years old!

The thing I like about this floorless is that there's not that little straighten out part and then the drop. You just keep going over the hump. NO PAUSE!

so much fun. I like Dorney better than Great Adventure because the lines aren't as crazy and the coasters are basically cloned. This ride is similar to Medusa, Steel Force is similar to Nitro, and Talon is similar to Batman. The difference is at Dorney you can go back on your favorites again and again without spending your whole day standing in line or getting ripped off on a Flash Pass.
It is very slow which makes it more fun being on the loop for a longer time. It was my favorite. I thought talon was boring and i hate the sit down roller coasters(Steel Force)
Its awesome. I would never say Dorney Park is better than Herskey or Cedar Point, but if you are in the east side of pennsylvania and want to make an attraction stop, Dorney Park and wild water kingdom is the place to go. Great rides, acceptably priced food and college girls in bikinis. Look there is a mostly girl college just down the road, and that is where they go during summer if not back home. Trust me, I go to that school....about 105 to 1 girl to guy...nice odds right?

well when theres drops your supposed to relax and just scream but dont get scared and like jump the stars said you barely feel anything when you go upside down and start from a not so good rollercoaster and get into more aggresive rides
i never screamed on any roller coaster there i almost screamed at steel force tho i was in 1st seat also i heard its the talest roller coaster in drowny park *-*
how did u get your camera on the ride?? when i went on this and steel force, they stopped toe rides both when we were on the lift chain. they asked everyone on the ride if they had a camera or cell phone. when the kicked me off it really screwed up my day and i was really pissed. i was just wonderin how u got away with it and why they did not stop the ride.
hi just wanted to tell u i bought the dvd that they take of u on talon. it was really awsem. the funny part is i only wanted to buy the dvd where they only put your seat in the dvd which costs 15.00. But they got my friend in it also which would normely have costed me 30.00 LOLOLOL!!!!!!! the got ripped off!!
there was like legit gangsters there.... they kept cutting my dad in line and he was getting pissed it left a bad impression on my mom 2 cuz theres 0 security but I would go back on a weekday when it first opens I like steel forced XD
I wasn't hating on GA. I have a season pass there and get plenty of mileage out of it. There is nothing at Dorney to compare to Ka or Toro, no doubt, but I feel like Dorney is the better value because of the shorter lines, cheaper tickets,and the fact that admission includes a killer water park. If GA threw some respect at their regulars, like including or discounting Flash Pass for season pass holders I'd have no gripes at all.
i went last week forecast was for thunder storms so there was no one there like 200 people in the park total so you could just walk on rides but i got scared and only went on talon and hydra wasted my day now i have to wait in huge lines

Only coaster on the east coast with a corkscrew before the climb hill, nice! Just rode this again yesterday.

That first twist threw me off, I thought it was slow when I saw it outside the ride, but when I was on it, it went pretty fast

@6flgslover Supersonic Odyssey in Maylaysia also has a pre-lift barrel roll. Hydra may be the only one in the US, though.
i don't know officially, but i think it's called an oblique dive loop, though i'm not sure at all.
