There is a very big difference in that in Denmark you are free to say what you think, but in Norway, you have to adjust to the prevailing attitudes. It is worse in Sweden, but still not good in Norway. But you shouldn't ask people in Trondheim about that. They rarely become sober enough to travel as far as Denmark.
As a Dane: Norwegians are tall and love our beer. They get mad when you tell them that Norwegian and Swedish sounds similar. They have a beautiful country and an awesome culture. I love seeing them on their national indepence day. They look so happy and eat a lot of sausages. They also want to share their indepence day from us with us, which is kinda trippy. I went to an international art school so I got to see the Norwegians dress up and wave their flag and get drunk every 17th of May. Did I mention they're tall as fuck?
It's nice to see, that norwegians like Denmark, or at least many of the people in the video. I know, lots of danes love Norway, and i am one of them. Norway has Beautiful nature, the fjords, the mountains, the nice people, and ofc the wintersport - I had my first lessons in skiing up there, even though the teacher laughed her ass off, I learned how to do skiing without biting the snow and ground all the time. And yes even though we are Nordic brothers/sisters there can be a little language barrier, but we can overcome it :D - And yes I know there was a time, when Norway was a Danish colony but thats long time ago, so lets just put that in a box and lock it off.
I think that we in Denmark like Norway more than they like us. Norway is by far the most liked country of most Danes. Also I meet many Norwegians here in Northern Denmark, and they are always very nice, and actually easy to communicate with in danish. Maybe because that it is mostly south Norwegians that go here, and maybe we are more easy to understand than people from Copenhagen? Anyway they feel like they are the same as us. They are more into snus though.
As a norwegian, I must say we have a lot to learn from our danish brothers and sisters. We should arrange mandatory field trips for people to learn how to chill the fuck out. Danes just seem a little bit more laid back, which suits me well personally.
Funnily enough, I as a Dane found that the Moroccan guy was the most accurate because he said we are very similar and actually have very few clear differences 😂
As a Norwegian, Danes are my brothers. Just remember to speak slowly to us, we Norwegians will understand Danish alot better if it's spoken in a slow fashion.
As a Dane, I love Norwegians and Norway - I even think Norwegian is much easier to understand than Swedish (except people from Bergen, I can't understand a word they're saying, it sounds like they're drunk, haha..) We can have a lot of rivalry between us in sports - football, handball etc... But at the end of the day, I'm always cheering for your team, if the Danish team (*handball) is knocked out of the tournament. 🇳🇴❤️🇩🇰
Dane here, most people I know like Norway and agree that their nature is beyond amazing. Understanding norwegians depend on their dialect, I could almost perfectly understand a girl from Bergen but not a word from a guy from Tromsø. Haha.
have lived in Denmark for a few years now and have travelled around sweden and norway, Great countries but Denmark just edges it as best place to live. many open and friendly people and the drinking culture. love the alcohol and the parties.
I find it interesting that some of the Norwegians have this myth that Denmark "took away" Greenland and the Faroe islands from them, when in reality it was just the Swedes who took Norway from Denmark *except* for Greenland and the Faroe islands. We didn't take it, we just kept it.
But still it would be more natural for these territories to be under Norwegian control, since they were settled by Norwegians and were originally part of the Norwegian Kingdom, not the Danish. They are only Danish, because Norway has never made a serious claim for them after independence.
@@abcabcboy Norway has made a serious claim actually, but was stopped by the US applying the Monroe doctrine. Look up the history of the Sirius patrol for example, it is quite interesting.

My family immigrated to America from Norway generations ago to escape blights and famine in the mid 1800s. For generations since, we’re still told stories about how Danes were apparently just the coolest people on Earth and how Norway wasn’t that bad under Danish rule. Imagine a group of people so cool that descendants of those they ruled are still told tales of how cool said people are. ...on a side note, the stories we’re still told of the Swedes are less flattering.
What I’ve noticed from seeing some videos from norway or scandinavian countries in general is that people really don’t pay attention to their appearance. Not trying to be rude or say they are ugly or anything but it’s just that effortless look overall, it’s much different than here in the balkans where girls literally dress up to go to the market
Zdravo! 😉 The bigger question is: why would we? It's just going out to buy something in most cases and as long as you do not stink or look completely disgusting so to scare off other customers, the merchants won't care. There is this saying here: "Hel & ren", which would translate to "Whole & clean" that sums up an acceptable appearance.
In the beginning you might need to switch mode in your perception of the words, but it really doesnt take long for a person either from Denmark or Norway to be able to understand each other perfectly. You just have to get over the surprise of the pronunciation on words and then it becomes familiar.
Damn. I expected a bit nicer comments from some people xD... I thought because they’re both Scandinavian they would be more likely to compliment each other, but some guys seem to not mince their words when it comes to opinions about Denmark.😅

@@aularound Helt klart.

@@janolsen9856interesting that you said religious lol. I happen to be religious, but I don't feel we're a very religious country in general. But maybe a little bit more so than Denmark, I don't know 🤔
Danes call Norwegians "mountain apes". That sums it up. The late Norwegian ambassador to Denmark, Thorvald Stoltenberg, used to say that "Norwegians loves Danes but tolerate the landscape and nature. Danes love the Norwegian landscape and nature, but tolerate Norwegians". Living in Denmark as a Norwegian I have found it to be somewhat true.
We like you Norway!
Expensive
Amazing nature and you are probably more outside, because you have snow and we have rmostly rain
Easier to understand than swedish
Higher pay I think
A little more relaxed and down to earth
Probably eats more fish
And I have this thought that most of you probably like Sweden more than Denmark, because your countries are closer and many understand Swedish better.
sooo diplomatic and respectful people are Norwegians
Dane here haha 🇩🇰 we like norway more than sweden too;))
@Hello Friend stop det der simping
@Hello Friend Fordi det er pinligt at se mængden af mænd der går i total simp mode så snart de ser et billed af en smuk kvinde på nettet?
Its aboute that Sweden got its revenge after the Stockholm massacre, The Danes beheaded 100 men on the square in Stockholm, when Sweden wanted to leave the union. You lost Skåne and Norway and that still hurts obviously. You are a little bit childish. The only people that i have heard saying they hate danes are people from Skåne and they used to be danes.
But i have lived in Norway for a couple of years and had a great time, i have also spend a lot of time in Denmark and it was great. But Norwegians are more frendly and polite than danes.
I am from a place close to the Norwegian border and i have norwegian relatives and many Swedish dialects are close related to norwegian and our folk music to. Danes sems very intrested aboute to be a brother to Norway. But Denmark are much more similar to Holland or Germany.
The Norwegians that prefer Denmark sems to be from Oslo, and thats becouse the people from Gothenburg and the Swedish westcoast arent intrested aboute norway.
Its easy to have good relations to Norway,
But if Norway was at the other side of öresund and your neigbour you would have the same problems becouse Danes are more rude than Norwegians and Swedes.
Its a part of your culture. You can be rude withoute thinking in another way.
Hmmmm very interesting...
The subtleties distinguishing the
various tribes. Thank you.
