A new Carter vlog got me through packing today 🥰 my husband (newlyweds as well!) and I just bought our first house and we close/move in on Wednesday. Watching you build your home has inspired me to love and put care into our old home as well, and makes me excited to move/be a homeowner!

I had this feeling that I couldn't decide between those 2 original colours because there was a better one out there and I'm so glad I trusted my gut!!!
I painted my kitchen cabinets a few years ago and they turned out great! I will say that I got a bit worried after the first coat because it started out super patchy but ended up perfect after a second. It took absolutely forever though. I think I painted for an entire day without breaks 😅
The navy sweater is from a small boutique in Sarasota so I can't link it and the bright blue one is from Target but I bought in store so I don't know the name!
My boyfriend painted kitchen cabinets for a company for a year after Uni. Unless it's a temporary solution, not recommended as they will peel. Always make sure to sand/prep to avoid it looking streaky too. Wood cabinets can absorb paint easier, but if they're made of MDF the risk of streaks/peeling is higher. That said I have seen people do it themselves on tiktok and it's looked decent as a temporary fix!
@@jennrob333 yes I've mentioned a few times before that it's a temporary solution! We plan on redoing our kitchen, but not for another 2 to 4 years and the previous owner painted the cabinets so badly that we have no choice, but to go in and fix it because they look awful🤣 I think it'll be a lot more work just because they clearly weren't sanded and prepped properly before which is why leaning towards having someone do it!!
@@CarterSullivanif it was me I'd hire someone as most companies use air spray guns for a more professional look! It's a lot of work to take everything off the hinges, paint and reattach. You could maybe save money not painting the inside?
@@jrobs6000 Yea I think it's one of those things that my time could be better spent doing other home projects & paying someone to paint the cabinets! Luckily we don't need to paint the insides regardless since they are white already :)

Fair note that I have that BEIS bag (essentially yours without the logos) and the handles and x-body strap have fallen off. Quality of that BEIS bag is horrible. Don't fill that bag beyone 50% full or it will bust, guaranteed.
Yes it is definitely meant to be a light weekend/duffel bag for sure- I've actually had one previously so I'm familiar with it. We typically don't use them to travel just because it's hard on the shoulders but for day to day or overnight trips!
