Hey Vanessa again! I very very loved your previous lesson about body vocabulary, that was absolutely amazing, thanks! I've downloaded the PDF and then I was flicking that through again 'n' again to remember it forever! It really works, PDF is always providing me with a lot of necessary help! Thanks Vanessa one more time! See you soon!
Hi Vanessa! I would like another real life lesson with your family: Dan and the kids. Maybe while you have breakfast or dinner or maybe when you are playing a game. I love this type of lessons so much 🙂
Sometimes I don't want to keep on learning english but, when I watch Vanessa's video and I think about her I get the strength to keep on.Thanks ma'am V.
As many Chinese children, I studied English since middle school. I have read books about America history and watched many American movies and tv series. I think I know a lot of things about America. However, this video let me know that there are a lot of things I could to learn about American cultures. In these 10 American cultures, I just know the meaning of “the fourth “! For me there is so much fun to learn English and American cultures in the same time. This video is great, you knocked it outta the park!
Hey teacher!Never celebrated the 4th, never found a Benjamin, never heard of the song, but I dug the lesson, cuz it was a new ballpark for me!Enjoy your day!
Hi Vanessa, I only say ,you knocked it out in the park whith your English class ,the more I whatch ,the more I learn , I'm so Happy whith you , thanks again .
I am really delightfully inspired, well-informed by this practical and useful things you taught at this video. Stunned to watch all the boiled-down elements about American must-know culture elements. It's crystal clear that American cultures could be written like a dictionary. But you boil down and extract essences from the system. I very appreciate it. Thank you.
Hello Vanessa, after the school and institute course 34 years later, I completely forgot the language, and now thanks to you, I began to understand English again, and better than before. You are a wonderful teacher, Thank you very much Vanessa.
What an amazing video, Vanessa! I am a Vietnamese who have a really humble knowledge about America culture. It's my lucky day that I am watching over again and again this such video. Thank you for bringing me to the outside world, at least to the Dream Country :))) Good day, V!
So Sweet to learn more about American culture and I already knew some American expressions, however, it is amazing to learn and comprehend more about that. So thank you ever so much, Vanessa, for bringing about lessons like this.
Hi Vanessa! This is a great video but as an American and a diehard baseball fan I wanted to let you know that Take Me Out To The Ballgame is actually played during the 7th inning stretch (in between the top and bottom of the 7th inning when all the fans stand and stretch and sing together). So that’s another wrinkle to throw into all of the baseball culture! There are also so many other baseball expressions used in everyday conversations by Americans.
Some old lady at the store saw me without a mask and asked me" Did you get vaccinated ? Of course, I said that I can't tell her it's private, But now I know how to give them a short answer" I please the 5th" Thank you so much Vanessa!!
I didn't know exactly what American culture was like, but after watching this fun Vanessa's video, I could encounter many unique things that only happen in the United States which has a very engaging, stereotypical and wonderful society. I love the country, I will have to speak English the whole time. I have a few Spanish-speaking relatives living in the US but that wouldn't mean any troubles when it comes to entirely interacting with people in English. You mean the world to me, Vanessa, thank you so much for giving me those amazing stuff about American culture. ❤
My family has been here for hundreds of years. Thank you for pointing out some interesting things that make this country unique. Having grown up in this culture sometimes I struggle to see the uniqueness of America. This helped me see it from the outside looking in.
I'm from IRAN, i have learned some of these expressions in the past lessons but i know the fourth is independent day in the U.S.A and congratulations the fourth, highly appreciate for your new lesson، always your student, you rock 🌹🌿
Hello! I from Ukraine and I knew almost all of this points. I really didn't know about the "to plead the 5th", "John Hancock", "Shotgun" and "S'mores" because it's local terms of the US))) But I grateful to Vanessa for the new information 🙏
I’m an American and didn’t know thing John Hancock one either! I’m glad you like our culture, I love Ukrainian culture and my grandma is from there🇺🇦❤️🇺🇸
People say I'm Americanized cause I always loved everything American (even though I live milliom miles away) and I knew all the things you were talking about!! Learned from movies, songs and TV shows ☺🥰
Not gonna lie, I'm an American and some of these are new to be too. If someone found a 100 dollar bill near me they'd probably just say that, I'm not sure where someone would have come from if they refer to it as a, "Benjamin." It is interesting to hear nonetheless
Wow, thank you for sharing this wonderful lesson. I'm now living with some enthusiastic Americans and they use a lot of slangs and idioms that I don't understand and consequently, I don't get the joke. This video was uploaded just right on time. And I really love your positive energy and your excitement to share your knowledge as well as your culture to everyone around the world and non-resident in the US. Please keep up with your excellent work and help us understand English better, not just vocabulary or grammar, but also the culture. I love you so much, Vanessa!!!!
I need more of this videos especially about holidays, how schools subjects are taught, difference between private and public schools or education in general (at least US based) and it can be about everything!
