How I made the Elder Wand from Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter!!! DIY

- I had a thought, why hasn't anyone made an Elder Wand using Elder Wood? Because it's really hard to find! So I did the next best thing... BOX ELDER!!!! This wand is made in 5 parts; the blade and handle out of turned box elder, the center section from deer antler and the three parts sit over a brass tube making the core that has a single piece of Thestral (black horse) Mane hair on this inside. This is as described in the Harry Potter series by Garrick Ollivander. This build was a lot of fun to do, I truly hope you enjoy it!!!

I have watched several videos of people making the Elder Wand, but only you video looks the closest to the movie prop (not just the Noble Collection replica) and the fact you used bone/antler for the Rune spot, and that you gave it a Core (Thestral Hair) literally gave me goosebumps.

He didn’t remake something mass produced-he utilized the dimensions of a licensed product in order to create an accurate replica with actual materials. Did you even watch the full vid?

I don’t plan on it honestly. This was a project that popped into my mind and I just had to make it the way I thought it should be made. Maybe something else in the future but this is it for now.

It's more efficient to cast spells without a wand.
It's an accessory that makes no sense.
You train you mind to cast spells with a wand. If it's not present or not functioning, you're as useless as a muggle until you figure out how to cast spells again, this time without a stick.

putting some metal inside with a ''thestral'' material does not make it a wand. Take a full piece of wood, and find out another way to put your core inside it
