Absolutely! We just recommend checking the forecast before your trip. Sometimes there is snow in early October. It really depends on the year.

There is only one group of people I can't stand. People who bike the Alpine Loop. Stuck behind these dudes in spandex going 3 mph, SMH. Take it to a bike trail.
