I had Rad Racer II back in the day, and a youtube search for a let's play brought me here. I'm glad it did. Neat idea for a series! Looking forward to seeing more.
Great review! Fun fact: There actually exists a third, unused music track to play during races in the sequel. It's a bluegrass-like piece titled "Still Alive". It is possible to force it to play during a race using cheating devices.
Note that "3D World Runner" also had a sequel, BUT It was only released in Japan... THEREFORE being the complete opposite of how Rad Racer had it's sequel released!
I gotta say, II handled better imo. Played it for the first time yesterday in a livestream. Ive always had it but never played it. And great singing! I sang a little tune myself when I saw that. I thought it was still an actual tune, just with a zany Japanese, lost in translation title. They really wanted us to sing?!
jasondavis378 It's from Double Dragon Neon (as listed in the credits). Song itself is Space Dojo 2 (the fourth level track) "Billy and the Breakers - Firebird"
PlayItBogart. I heard that game because of him. I know it sounds ironic, but he did a review of this game, which is now in the GamerReviewsArchive. So you are not alone. Edit on this video: Outrun was created in 1986, not in 1996. The game was originally made in 1986. I know I heard it wrong, but it was 1986. Needed to save you Jquelta from almost being Unrealbomb'd there. XD
Hey, the 3D didn't work for you because both Rad Racer and 3D World Runner use 3D glasses that are the reverse of the norm. Blue covers the left eye, red covers the right eye...
I think the whole 'outrun' enthusiasm didn't exist in 1990. And yes, I avoided this one in the video rental store because I knew it sucked. Not even nintendo power would cover it.
I played rad racer II and never knew there was a prequel. Was watching high to heaven and they were playing this game on it
Great video. I never knew Rad Racer II existed until you made this video. I have a feeling Startropics II will be reviewed someday.
SUPERB review. Very detailed with some great humor mixed in. I love it.
ikr! I love great comedians like Jeff Dunham too.

I like both
I never played Rad Racer 2, but I loved the first game.
Great Episode!! Looking forward to this new series!!

Rad Racer II is the one I have all my nostalgia for and as such I feel I must challenge you to a duel.
I legit said "they made a sequal" when I found out

Needs a catchy intro. I liked this.

I was really crossing my fingers that you would sing Highway Star.
What song/singer are you using for the end theme, BGG?

Blondeguygamer Thank you for the answer.
1996? I thought he meant to say 1986 for the release of "Out Run".

Keep your power gloves off HER dude.
@@TimBoyd2012 the wizard 1989!
You know they changed it to MPH (Miles Per Hour) in this game?
just sayin.
0:34 Nope, 1986 not 1996 but I'm sure that's what you meant.
Beside that slight mistake though, good video! :)
Obviously that '1996' was a mistake, if even you knew what he meant why did you felt you had to correct him?
5:45 😂😂😅
Great review 👍
You've gotta cover Shadowman 2. The existance of it shocked me. Going from a multiplatform series to a PS2 only release didn't help.
I LOVE RAD RACER AND RAD RACER TWO AND WHEN WILL YOU DO A REVIEW ON SIDE POCKET TOO
Lucas wasn't really playing the game with the Power Glove, and Rad Racer isn't compatable with the Power Glove.

You bet they did! I liked RR2 better than the original!
I only have rad racer 2
This video doesn't seem like 9 Years Old
10:00 most winding bridge ever.
SQUARE?????? AS in SQUARESOFT and SQUARE-ENIX SQUARE?????? Made this game?????? *Mind blown apart*
ToxicityHazard-Lvl1 😂😂😂 they even make a third racing game on the ps2 but its suck lol
rad racer 2 was horrible. the only thing good about it was cost to cost and the ending theme.
Your opinion.
