- As you all probably experienced yourselves already, Competitive racing can get quite stressful.
Which is why I set myself the goal to also do something fun every week that is not sim racing.
This week that is playing some Forza Horizon 5. Specifically the Eliminator game mode.

HD, I really enjoy FH5 and they have done a great job in keeping my interest through the monthly and weekly challenges. I’m impressed that you beat competitors a number of car levels up, something very rare for me when I play Eliminator. I enjoy the cross country and rally races the most. I truly wish FM had a rally component where the extra feel of the roads would make it different than FH5. I definitely would enjoy some FH5 content on your channel 😀👍
I think you'll see more FH5 on the channel in the future. It's a very fun experience and Playground Games have done a good job with the updates lately.
This is very true! And I need to focus on having fun more often. Great video @hdeeracing
Mission accomplished! 😅 It's so easy in sim racing to get bogged down in improving and competing. Always good to remind ourselves why we do this and take it a bit more easy from time to time. 😊
I've not touched the eliminator at all for a very long time now, mostly because of (as normal as it is for a battle royale) how cruel it gets. Whether it's an unfortunate tree or house in your way, you not finding any decent car drops or some [very sensible player] (lvl 10 car optional) deciding to run after you and "bully" you forever. They don't care who or what crosses their path, they WILL race you. This just became too unhealthty mentally.
These days i don't do much on Horizon 5 except for unlocking the new cars in the playlist, playing with friends on weekends if enough show up (if it's just 4 guys, we stick it out on Uno), working on decals that i need for liveries on Motorsport or just whole liveries on their own if said car is also in both games or, assuming i have the time and inspiration, making custom tracks. The last time i did the latter, i made a smaller version of Circuit Zolder (familiar from ACC) that barely could fit within the prop budget in the blueprint builder, but it was very worth it! It ain't a perfect copy but it's as accurate as i can, while also making sure it's somewhat raceable!
Yeah, I totally get that Eliminator could get frustrating. It works for me if I go into it with the right mindset and don't play it too often.
With regards to making custom tracks, I haven't dipped my toes into that for a long time, but I've seen some amazing creations after the Eventlab 2.0 Update.
Your new to Forza Horizon 5
What makes you think that?
FH 5 ist great 😁 enjoy it! I think it is superior to NFS games according to my experience with GamePass. Maybe you can try out some games as well with GamePass for PC like F1 games or Wreckfest. Funny thing is even the F1 games feel much better and cleaner than Forza Motorsport (what is actually sad). Even the Dirt games are on GamePass and I am not a Rallye fan. Nevertheless Dirt 2.0 is amazing!
I'm also way more of a FH guy nowadays. Haven't even played any of the recent NFS games, but still have fond memories, as NFS 2 was one of my first ever games I played.
I don't personally do game pass, it's not for me, as I like to own games I play. Have played Dirt 2.0 though, it's great fun (though I'm bad at it). 😅
@@HDeeRacing still a good way to test games and buy them as a bargain. I bought ACC for 20€ + 25€ for all DLC instead of 85€ regular price all together. Gamepass 15€+45€ = 60€ and the 15€ were useful for other games as well :D so with GP you can get some games pretty cheap
