Love the video. Shows just how easy and cheap it is to make a wet pallet. Even if anyone decides to buy a commercial wet pallet, I’d still recommend them watching as it explains how a wet pallet works and how to get the best results from one.
@@ctnimmo thanks very much @ctnimmo! I hope that it helps plenty of people, I struggled with wet palette usage for a while when I started. I had issues with it drying out too fast under my light, or the hydration not permeating well with the paper etc so I adjusted everything until it worked consistently :)
Finally gave this a go and it's worked out nicely, it's great for me who just wants a wet palette for the day, and it's helping beat the summer heat issues with paints drying too quickly.
I'm glad it helped :) I was having similar issues and this was the process that fixed it all for me ^^ And with it being something that only lasts a couple of days I can't get time blind and have mould. Another useful thing is that if you cover this one it doesn't bleed all the colours together or make them go bad like they were for me before
@@Lexorcist_Lexi no problem Lexi! Let me know how you get on with it ^^ I'd like to release a basics video as the second video each week, so if there's any other topics you could use help with let me know ^^
I watched this from start to finish. “The magic you are looking for is in the work you’re avoiding.” Time to get to work! WE MOVE! Let’s go! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE! JUST MOVE!!! ❤🔥🔥🔥🏋🏻♂️👊👊
This was actually a little different from some other home made wet pallete video ive seen and i liked it. Some very nice tips included Ruby, very helpful. Very good vid, looking forward to the next one.
Solid bonus tip, Breadsticks! ^^ I decided to stay away from them in this one just for the absolute basics, we have a lot of time blind folks in our neurodivergent community who will forget if it's been 3 days or a week (like me) ^^
I tried this and I keep using the wrong plastic-ey baking paper, which refuses to be wet or stick. I tried all brands in our local supermarket, am I doing something wrong?
Some brands of paper don't work well, I went through a few prior to finding the right one don't worry, it's not your fault :) The one I've linked in the description has worked for me for the last 5 years ^^

Whilst I already have a commercial wet pallet this will certainly prove really useful if I'm ever recommending how to get started with a wet pallet.
@@gordonjones6571 I hope it helps ^^
I personally use the Redgrass palette but I still use this method with the shell :)
A handy tip, especially for those on a budget
I hope it helps! :)
I actually use this myself, but I use my Redgrass Palette as a shell rather than a takeaway container!
Thanks for another solid video!
@@RazorFoxI'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank you :)

Thanks Dan! I hope everything was helpful and it works out well ^^
Next one will be out tomorrow! (Freehanding rather than basics though)
bonus tip if you use deionized water and a CLEAN penny your wet pallet will last longer where mould is concerned

Luckily the Dutch Amazon, also has that. Phew. Thanks a lot, now I can finally wet my paints. 😅 (sounds weird saying that though)@@Roll1ToExplode
No prob :) I set all the amazon links so that they'll translate the listing to the country of origin for you to make it easier
