    I have this pattern and have been teaching myself how to sew. UI am using a muslin to practice making the Cielo top. Watching your video tutorial helped me understand the concept of the garment and the techniques a lot more. If you ever teach sewing, I would sign up for sure. Great tutorial. Thank you kindly for sharing. Please make more videos like these. Blessings.

    Thank you for sharing the making of this dress, I especially like the pocket detail. You did a great job showing how its done. One of the things that I appreciate about your videos is the lovely relaxing music in the background. So many you tubers use music that is too loud and not at all relaxing. It may not seem like a big deal but for a person with anxiety it makes such a difference. Looking forward to the next video 🥰

    Thank you - a great video, so helpful! I made this view of the Cielo dress already but used the facing option for the neck. I am a new sewist and wanted to try. - previously I'd used bias binding on some tops and wasn't 100% happy with my technique.I am happy how it turned out.
    I also made the Cielo top and added an extra bit to the length - crop tops are not my style.
    I love the Cielo pattern and plan on making a few more dresses as they are easy to wear. I might try your method for applying the bias binding. I love the style of the Closet Core Patterns

    I like how it turned out. My version would be done a little different though as I'm notorious for not following pattern instructions too much. What I would do is more suited to actvities that I do during the day as well as my iwn tastes.
    I'd like to try it in a black linen or linen blend and I would have added a light strip along the pocket edges so that its more reinforced and crisper at the edges. Then would have top stitched the shoulder seams. About an extra 6 inches or 15 cm to the length would have been added and I would have done it blind hem stitch.

    I'm so confused by the Cuff instructions that came with the pattern. I notice you sewed the right side of the cuff to the right side of the sleeve, even though instructions said to sew it to the wrong side.

    I love this pattern! There are many beautiful versions of these on internet and yours are no exception.
    I was wondering, as you seem to like "dramatic" sleeves, do you plan on doing a dress or top with the lantern sleeves? I am considering trying to make it for fall/winter in a warmer fabric.

    • @SewingTherapy
      @SewingTherapy  3 года назад

      As you noticed, I'm so into dramatic sleeves right now but this top made me hesitate to make the lantern sleeves as that version didn't look comfy to me. 😅 If you are making one in the future, please let me know how it goes and how it fits you!

    • @elisa4620
      @elisa4620 3 года назад

      @@SewingTherapyXD! The sleeves don't look practical for manual work. I guess I would probably make the sleeves a bit shorter and narrower to make sure I can work and practice my hobbies.
