- I want to help you build your e-mail list to grow your customer base and convert them into paying customers in the long run so I made this Convertkit tutorial for beginners to help you out.
There are so many tips and tutorials out there that promise they will help you and your business, but I think this is what you need to know about first: ConvertKit.
So what is ConvertKit? It is an e-mail marketing platform and it is very user-friendly, so even if you are new in the e-mail marketing world, you will get the hang of it easily!

Thanks Jykira! Yes, most of it I do.. although I've had copywriters step in from time to time for certain promotions. But my main weekly emails are mostly written by me. Don't concentrate on trying to be clever or cute with it, just tease the content, and let them know why its important without giving it all away in the email itself (unless the email IS the content.) Don't stress, you'll do great!
Great video Wes! I'm in the process of setting up my automation through Convertkit and I have a question.
I've added the request for the first name when the subscriber signs up for my lead magnet, when the auto email is sent with the downloaded item how do I set it up to automatically to address them by their name in the email instead of the default Dear [Subscriber's Name]?

Really enjoyed your presentation, much more than some other ConvertKit RUclips videos. I would like to confirm that our lead magnet download can only be a single file to download. It was suggested to me that I could use a .zip file over the 3 files that I would like to send. Any downsides to this? Another complication is tagging subscribers by their source. For instance, my Facebook ad, versus my website or other sources. I think I need to create copies of my landing page so that I have different urls for each of the copies. Then, I can create an automation to add tags for each source. Is this the best option to capture the source of the subscriber?

At the end of the video, you point to click here. I do not see that button. Are you speaking of email marketing course? Ref. Covertkit, is it true that for the subscribers you bring you will get paid for only 24 months and after you will "nothing"?

Your link does not work for a 30-day trial, dude. It still gave me 14-day trial. Great tutorial, though!
So I put the link to my landing page on a button in the "link in my bio" and when I click it is says:
"This connection is not private, this website might be impersonating .... to steal financial information"

My problem is that when I copy the url from the share option of the form, and paste in some other browser, After filling up my name and email and clicking on the button, I don't get the donwloadable file neither do I get a confirmation email. Has anyone else come across a similar scenario ? I am stuck right now and need help please

Thanks Wes. I see you use Drip and not Convertkit. What's the reason please?
Drip is much more robust for more advanced email marketing tasks, and more expensive too. But convertkit is what I recommend to people newer to the game, or with smaller budgets. Hope that helps!

So I work for a online VA and we have been back and forth between ConvertKit and FloDesk...we can't decide which we would recommend to clients more. Thoughts on FloDesk?
Great question, but I've not used flodesk so I'm not really sure. I'd just make sure their deliverability rates are high, and make sure its got all the features you need, then you can make a better decision. Cheers!
