Thanks for the video. Now I know what hell to expect when I do this tomorrow haha. This mount is the start of a lot of SRT4 problems - most people don't know it even exists, as the common aftermarket mounts typically are the 2 torque mounts (the two your removed) plus the tranny side engine mount. The two torque mounts are there to fight movement during torque, not to hold the engine up. When the mount your replaced goes bad, the two torque mounts cannot handle it and either break or destroy the poly/rubber in them. It's vital to replace this or you will be replacing axles and wheel bearings frequently. Don't ask how I know... :(
I just want to say that I love you. No Homo. I sat here in my garage for a long time struggling trying to figure out how to get that mount out of there because there wasn't enough room. Once I watched how you did it I did it the exact same way and it came out so easy literally in seconds. And I put the new one in the same way and it was so easy. You literally saved me from bashing my head against the wolf lol
So to get the motor to naturally shift, you jacked it up only on the passenger side and once that Transmission bolt was removed the motor dropped and moved over to the driver side?
I wish you would have done a better job explaining getting the center mount itself out. It seems the way you described is going to seriously fuck some shit up.
Sorry my video was not helpful for you best thing I recommend is takle head on the job and you will figure it out same way I did when I created the video I have never done this job before that was my first time
Passenger wheel bearing went bad and I was told to check hidden engine mount....thanks for this vid
No problem, glad to help
