We spent New Years Eve 2021 in Gullholmen, #Sweden, escaping Covid :)
Gullholmen is a small island on the Swedish West Coast with less than 200 full-time inhabitants, while it becomes way more lively during the summer.

It is so incredibly beautiful. Dad was from there. What is not shown is that the island is big enough to have room for farms. Hidden among all the rocks there are small valleys where cows munch on grass.
I wish you could have been there when there was ice. I have been, and we walked from Orust - the big island to the east - to Gullholmen.
Life is so extremely calm there in situations you experienced.
Makes it a funny comparison to how it is during summer.
Several culturally important persons had their summer resort there.
Persons like Bernhard Karlgren, and an artist like Hagalund.
