It’s just turned to14th Feb in Japan now! Perfect timing of the video Chef John! Everything looks so yummy and made me hungry😋I’ll try to sleep and wait for the right time to eat chocolate😂💓Happy Valentines Day to everyone!💝
You completely changed how I see the food and what I eat. Do not even decided on it - it just happened. You are a huge inspiration for all of us and I am not easy person to impress. Today I came to the boiling point because chocolate is a part of my blood. I just use cocoa butter instead of usual butter and mint instead of cayenne. As a matter of fact, I usually use 4-5 types of pepper in one dish.
My dearest new friend, I really hope you are enjoying you stay-cation. I just wanted to thank you again for these recipes and lessons. My husband was in a horrible car accident two days ago.....no injuries thank heavens! And he will be returning today from work to be able to enjoy the chocolate cake! 🙏🏼 That's right, I had all of the ingredients except for butter, which I was able to make in just 25 minutes! Bless you!
Hey Corp Overlord Media Manager, I love the compilations that bring back classic recipes I missed. Would it be too much to ask for link to the original vids, please? I can’t be the only one who plays the video while prepping. 😘
Chef John! Those Swedish chocolate balls are amazing! I had some issues and learned that chocolate, oatmeal, and coconut have good amounts of fiber! So for anyone that is having digestive issues and doesn't like the orange stuff you mix in water, these are a delicious solution! #fiber
Well you got me with the first recipe. I've scribbled down the recipe and am now off to the shops to get the ingredients. Will have to make do with a store bought raspberry coulis until you upload your recipe. Thank you Chef John for ruining my diet 😘
I always make similar (swedish) chocolate balls during christmas. And sometimes whenever I don't have any other snacks in the house. I do however make them about half the size. What I do add, is some rum flavouring, which takes these to the next level. Some people hate the rum flavour, and some love it, but I think it belongs in this recipe. If I don't have coconut flakes, I tend to roll them in sprinkles. But you could also use chopped nuts.
Thank you for bringing up that people undercook their baked goods and calling it moist and fudgey! I want to make these *reeeal* bad but I also don’t have the capability of letting brownies cool completely
Wow! Chocolate Decadence! I used to eat this at a bakery on Fillmore St in the 80s! And now, I’m going to make it myself! A Keto version even! Thx Chef! Happy V Day!
Chocolate Decadence hint. For people like me that don't like fruit with chocolate (or those unfortunate few that can't eat raspberries...) whipped cream lightens it up PERFECTLY!
That first batter looks a lot like Tiramisu batter, just that one is made using only yolks. But the warm egg tip is interesting, my mum taught me to add 1 tsp of hot/boiling water to the tiramisu batter to make it more fluffy. Works!
As to the chocolate decadence cake, whatever sauce you put on the bottom of the plate is up to you. You are, after all, the Mary Lou Retton of what your slice is set in.
the swedish chocolate balls are pretty much the same as the danish ''havregryns kugler'' :P funny thing is we make them much smaller like a fourth if not smaller than the ones you made ^^
I really want to make the truffles...but I only have the raw ingredients...because I make my own chocolate bars. So what would the measurements be for cocoa powder and cocoa butter and whipping cream?
On Swedish chocolate balls. If you whip the butter, coconut oil and sugar (you can also use powdered sugar until it is white and fluffy and run the oats with the other ingredients in a blender and break up the oat flakes before mixing everything together you get a much smoother texture. You can also dip the balls in melted chocolate before covering them in coconut flakes. Maybe something you want to try!
Valentine's decision: watch Johnny Dep in the film Chocolat OR watch chocolate cooking/baking on Food Wishes. Ahh watching John melt chocolate . . . Valentine's happiness.
Looked like the first bar chocolate was a SF based brand called Scharffen Berger. Quite good, a bit expensive on the east coast, perhaps cheaper from the area.
You're welcome, Prez! I first got tuned into that brand when Alton Brown did his first (I think) chocolate Good Eats in the late 90s. Bought it a few times to make truffles, etc. Back then it was $8-9 for a 200 or 250 gram bar.
That weird little white thing stuck to the side of an egg yolk is something called a chalaza. It is one of the most disgusting things on earth and I do not understand how everyone doesn't pick them out before they eat an egg. I love eggs and eat them almost every day and never ever will one of those things remain before I consume it 🤢 Edit: on a more positive note, I can't wait to make this it looks delicious! 😁
Ah yes, the 80's, when REAL men didn't eat quiche, they devoured power lunches of a rare Side of Beef as they carefully planned their decadent chocolate confections in anticipation of performing a Hostile Takeover of their Beloved's Hearts! :)
I wonder if Chef John ever uses a box of brownie mix or boxed jello or whatever as a cheat or to be lazy on an off day of filming instead of going all out and fixing the real deal.
Mrs. Chef John must be the luckiest woman in the world to have such a wonderful chef as her husband!
Her name is Michelle.
"Does it look like that because I spread my butter unevenly? Yes."
We love a chef who doesn't take it too seriously. Looks perfect to all of us!

This is definitely the first time I've seen chokladbollar as a special Valentine's Day treat, but I like it... Keeping it casual is always nice 👍
This compilation of recipes is a dessert paradise! Love it! 😍

That brownie looks amazing
Hello! I'm a big fan. Just wanted to say the Chocolate Decadence Cake was great! I made it for Valentine's Day.
As always, I've enjoyed your video, everything looks lovely. Happy Valentine's to you and yours.
I always make similar (swedish) chocolate balls during christmas. And sometimes whenever I don't have any other snacks in the house. I do however make them about half the size.

I’m your fan chef John! Loved all this recipes, thank you for sharing your wonderful knowledge with us! ☺️

I tried many of your recipea and i must say that its amazing!
Oh wow, I forgot about leg warmers. Yummy looking video.
Thank you for bringing up that people undercook their baked goods and calling it moist and fudgey!
I want to make these *reeeal* bad but I also don’t have the capability of letting brownies cool completely
Nice thanks for recipe. I'm gonna make these all for myself

Wow! Chocolate Decadence! I used to eat this at a bakery on Fillmore St in the 80s! And now, I’m going to make it myself! A Keto version even! Thx Chef! Happy V Day!
When he pulled out the bench scraper to clean up the flour... that's when I was immediately transported back to the '80s..😵💫
You're also the Tina Fey of getting *la-ots* of compliments. 😂 Someone make me some brownies and send them my way for my birthday. *213* 🎂🎉🥰
Wowww so Amazing dear
Haha chokladbollar for breakfast, we haven't though about that either! Not a bad idea though!
Chocolate Decadence hint. For people like me that don't like fruit with chocolate (or those unfortunate few that can't eat raspberries...) whipped cream lightens it up PERFECTLY!
I have always loved a good moist brownie! It's a matter of opinion but a friend insists a brownie must have frosting. 🍫☕
Have made these brownies twice, great recipe, very close to the best. I added flake salt , even better thanks Chef John.
Yessss..I was about to say just need ice cold milk...
So wear your leg warmers and your Members Only jacket only? That’s how I do all of my best cooking!!!! We should totally hang out!!!
"Seduce the object of your desire." 😆
That first batter looks a lot like Tiramisu batter, just that one is made using only yolks. But the warm egg tip is interesting, my mum taught me to add 1 tsp of hot/boiling water to the tiramisu batter to make it more fluffy. Works!
The swedish chocolate "pralines" are really tasty, easy and healthy compared to any other candy. Can only recommend! (Ps. From an objective Swed ;)
Do try real Belgian pralines someday. They are even better than Swedish.
Thank you Chef. The brownie directions were a revelation. (adding some coffee though)
Chocolate delivery systems! 😂
I started having flashbacks.! 🤣
The first one is a cake I have had before When I was young
And this is why we have a Chocolate Hangover the day after.
As to the chocolate decadence cake, whatever sauce you put on the bottom of the plate is up to you. You are, after all, the Mary Lou Retton of what your slice is set in.
I just keep the yolk and pour it back and forth in the half shells, takes about 5 sec and no mess.
The 80s were the best!!!❤❤
ha-ha nice chef john.
Was expecting cream pie for this holiday. Maybe not for a first date though.
the swedish chocolate balls are pretty much the same as the danish ''havregryns kugler'' :P funny thing is we make them much smaller like a fourth if not smaller than the ones you made ^^
I’ll bet Chef John gets soooo llll..lots of compliments quite often.
YUM !!!
An egg white omelet IS A THING if you have kidney disease. Yolks are not allowed.
NOT THE MEMBERS ONLY JACKET?!?!😂..... WOW That was the WAAAY Back Machine!
I do remember the '80s. Trying to forget the '70s. The '60s are a bit hazy, though.
Every time I see that budino recipe i'm like "why haven't I made that yet?"
I really want to make the truffles...but I only have the raw ingredients...because I make my own chocolate bars. So what would the measurements be for cocoa powder and cocoa butter and whipping cream?

Bravo,
so nice
Question: What would happen if I used Cocoa Butter instead of unsalted butter? I have some and I don't know what to do with it
Be Still… My beating heart! 💗
Can I make a layered cake with this.
You should have included the sub recipe for the raspberry sauce
Bon appetite
You don't remember the 80's? No! Why? Because was the 80's. XD
I wish I would've married a chef..! xo hydie
Chocolate Budino could use a shot of liqueur like amaretto, or Kahlua...or maybe even bourbon...
Need a link to the raspberry sauce mentioned in the first part.
I don't like stainless steel bowls for mixing. I once made merengues by hand in a stainless steel bowl and they ended up grey.
Valentine's decision: watch Johnny Dep in the film Chocolat OR watch chocolate cooking/baking on Food Wishes. Ahh watching John melt chocolate . . . Valentine's happiness.
I graduated 1983. ❤
Hi chef John! Where do you buy your dark chocolate?
Looked like the first bar chocolate was a SF based brand called Scharffen Berger. Quite good, a bit expensive on the east coast, perhaps cheaper from the area.
@@tawpgk Thank you!

Like me daddy always says….don’t buy, just rent. Hence approaching eight-figures.

No cream pie for Valentine's Day?!
I agree about the egg white omelet! Yuck! I'd rather not have breakfast, too, if that was the only choice!
Ah yes, the 80's, when REAL men didn't eat quiche, they devoured power lunches of a rare Side of Beef as they carefully planned their decadent chocolate confections in anticipation of performing a Hostile Takeover of their Beloved's Hearts! :)
Dust with cocoa for the flourless cake.
Hey John, Have you stopped beating your eggs?
You meant a half stick of butter for the brownies. 😁
👍💯
Have you ever tried using sugar in your pan instead of flour?
Hi pretty lady. How are you doing today 😘😘🥰🥀
Hey, Chef John! Do you think adding some walnuts would go well with your chocolate puddino?
Hey…where is the raspberry sauce recipe!!!!!!!
Like he said.. in his next video. Patience.
The recipe for the sauce is here ruclips.net/video/V52j_aPLhnQ/видео.html
💯💯💯🌹🌹💕💕
I wonder if Chef John ever uses a box of brownie mix or boxed jello or whatever as a cheat or to be lazy on an off day of filming instead of going all out and fixing the real deal.
Hi pretty lady. How are you doing today 😘
Too bad copyright claims exist cause you could have put "new drug" behind the chocolate decadence recipe
Here’s the link to the video on how to make the raspberry sauce:
ruclips.net/video/V52j_aPLhnQ/видео.html
In sweden we call those chocolate balls... nnnn-no...eh-h.. 'wiener broads'.
Tyler reward points and a er
Only the 80's suffered greed and decadence? Huh, I've noticed it in every decade, the history books are redolent (!) with it. Pity
I really don't like chocolate actually it's kind of disgusting I like marshmallows can you do a recipe with marshmallows how do I make crispy treats?
