    Dewalt have a "safety shut off", they're most basic brushed tools seem to just run in water but they aren't built for that.

    If it'd been a Metabo HTP it would have never stopped ,and would work fine later too.

      This one worked after it dried out. Nobody cares about Hitachi to be honest.

    Honestly that’s kinda depressing I dropped my ryobi drill into the ocean about 2 years ago on a job when I was rebuilding a dock and she still runs like brand knew surprisingly 😂 I expected the salt water to kill it it killed the battery but that’s it 🤷‍♂️ every one hate in ryobi but it get the job done for me every time 🤷‍♂️

      Everytime something ryobi my dad has got left in rain it worked fine

      But the tool wasn't floored until it died after you dropped it, that's the key thing
