I bought my 2019 Tundra 1794 Edition brand new…I’m currently at 62k and I have had NO problems.. also NO recalls. My opinion, 2nd Gen Tundra is probably the very best as far as quality of any 1/2 ton truck at the time. I haven’t even changed the factory brake pads yet. I have them, rotors too. But I’ll wait when I need to replace. Still NO rust to speak of (but I undercoat here in Pennsylvania too) … I’m keeping this truck till the wheels fall off! Toyota should really be ashamed of themselves for releasing this new pile of doo-doo.. Mike sweers should be fired for, in my opinion is an ugly embarrassment towards Toyota as a whole. The EPA is imposing new efficiency standards however this new platform only gains about 2-3 mpg better. What??!!… had a perfectly good V8 loved by many and totally Fucked it up. … shameful.
I almost traded my 2020 Lexus Gx460 for the 2024 model, but then I was advised the 2024 model may have engine issue as Tundra in the future. I am glad I took the advice.
2023 limited with the trd trim. No issues other than the map searching function is a bit buggy. Exactly what I want in a truck and I wouldn't switch with any other vehicle.
I was honestly looking forward to getting one of these trucks one day when I first saw them come out but now the Ol reliable 2000 Silverado won’t be off the road for a while now
If the Toyota competitors had hired people to destroy the reputation of Toyota Tundra, they could not have done a better job than what Toyota has done to its own brand since 2021.
I bought my 2022 Tundra SR5 in 2022. I have since put 65,000 miles on it with zero recalls performed and zero issues. Oil changes every 5k miles and regular maintenance. The sensationalism around these trucks is causing creators to put out content that gets them views. If this were a Ford, they wouldn't be replacing motors or making it right. However, it is a Toyota and at least they are standing behind their product even through a major mishap.
@@Ral1232onYT .. this is true however it never should’ve happened in the first place… machining debris in the engine?.. give me a break. That’s just bullshit… it’s a poor design. The V8 was a perfectly good engine, bulletproof.. but the EPA fucked it all up. And so did Toyota.
Toyota isn't immune my Tundra had 3 transmissions in 60k miles. Though 2nd one the dealer didn't install all the bolts back and it fell off on the highway. Highway patrol said, he could tell I wasn't going anywhere. I was a rare case, but what is % failure rate.
I bought a 2022 tundra TRd has 20,000 miles at 12,000 had excessive tire wear they realigned and gave me 4 new tires. Free no prorating. I’ll never buy another big three pick up again
Is it valid for me to not trust any newer vehicles nowadays? I love a lot of makes and models, but I wish I only needed to drive my old ass MR2, that I paid cash for, 24yrs ago.
Toyota should go back to producing 5.7 eight cylinder engines that were produced between 2007--2021.....Any Tundra after 2021 has had many problems, and is considered total trash. I have a Tundra 2016, with over 160,000 miles, never had any issues. Only changed oil, tries and breaks whenever necessary. After 2021, Toyota Tundra has lost all respect. Unfortunately, even if Toyota fixes the problems by 2026, it will take some time for buyers to come back.
@@theowl3756 I was talking to a service rep the other day while I was having my routine maintenance done on my truck. The rep said basically the EPA wants all EVs. Toyota recognized that is a pipe dream (our grid and power production CANNOT handle that) and decided to go with turbos and hybrids to meet the requirements.
Are these Toyota made in USA? Now you know the reason why 🎉🎉 You can not build any car, not only Toyota. Think about Ford or GM or any other brand made in USA. Some are good for a year and some other, for a month 😂😂😂
No. The previous generation had a huge reputation for reliability. Almost all Toyota transmissions are made in WV. Has been this way for years. This is a new design for the engine trying to meet EPA requirements. The old large displacement gasoline V8s are going away.

Toyota of North America’s decisions have destroyed the Tacoma 4 runner and Tundra. Toyota of Japan needs to be making the decisions
The EPA has destroyed these trucks. This is all emissions based.
Replacing a new engine in the new truck will show up on Carfax not very good for resale

glad it's treating you well
2021 tundra v8. Awesome so far
I love my 20
And 2021 was the last year Toyota Tundra was a good car..!

My 2023 Chevy Colorado Lt has wind noise from the window when driving 65 mph., also my infotainment and speedometer blacks out.
2024 Tundra Platinum Iforce max 17000 miles so far perfect!
don’t jinx yourself

My 2012 Tudra will compete a new model track today when were talking about engine
I will never get rid of my 20 with the 5.7. In 4.5 years I have had two minor issues.
Me too. Gas tank door spring, tailgate damper.

My buddy is having the acceleration issues & his buddy's turbo went at 60k. These trucks are junk!!!
My 2021 Tundra SR5 is approaching 39k and runs like a champ. The newer model is a no from me..
I have a 2014 1794 model, no problems at all

They can't. This is all to meet EPA requirements. That is why Ford does the ecoboost. Ram is trying something similar.
@@TommyNitro Thank you for clarification...!!! Now, it makes sense how Toyota has made such a mess out of its products.

Don't buy poor quality USA built Toyotas; import from Japan. Problem solved
