This is more or less what I’ve seen him do in his prep however this is often after months of more general training or bodybuilding which is the base that sets him up for this program. He goes from high volume and big weight to low volume and huge weight and works in some sticking point attacking variations as well as reducing accessory work. I’ve yet to see this not work for him. He is very explosive and I feel this is why he prefers low frequency high intensity when training strength

@@user-uw8uy5oe7r He literally says that the number one correlator with strength is muscular hypertrophy in the video. Also EMG activation is still not even necessarily correlated with strength development in the same way that it isn't for hypertrophy, because as much as so many people don't like to admit it Strength and muscle size are highly correlated especially in advanced lifters once they have maxed out their neuromuscular strength.

13 working sets, lmao. I'm 2 months away from a meet and as natty 36-year old amateur I have 17 sets on my heavy SBD DAY and like 30+ sets on my light/accessory/isolation day that still involves some bench, bulgarian squats and leg press.
Larry's programe should be called "regresive underload".

Larry wheels is strong af, but he’s the type of guy to be on steroids and do uncontrolled half reps and then wonders about injuries.
His training is not intelligent. He’s always thinking about showing off. He should chill out more. He’s destroying himself
