I love all of the materials and it has such a premium feeling to it! The amenities are are plentiful as well with the 5 zone climate, so even third row passengers can stay comfortable, along with heated seats for everyone! You can be comfortable and have a quiet ride all in one! I love the power delivery too, so for a large suv, you can hardly feel the weight and it accelerates quick and takes turns at normal speeds with ease! Ten years ago I would have never thought a BMW would almost be as big as a Navigator or Escalade but Beemer knows how to get it done. The heated 3rd row seats is quite innovative!
I know right!! BMW has come along way and I would definitely get this over the Escalade or Navigator!
@mar roxas The Escalade is too expensive for what it is and what it has to offer and the Navigator is ok, but not nearly as many features, plus the X7 is more sporty and I like that in an SUV. Something I can drive on back roads if I needed the space! What’s your take on it?
@mar roxas I've filmed one of those. I really don't see why someone would buy that. It's really just different wheels and a slight body kit. Waste of money I think lol.

The X7 is made in the USA, American standard, in Europe the Q7 is also considered a truck. Difficult to get around in many cities and urban centers.
I saw some videos of the F150 Raptor in several cities in Europe, the same difficulty in getting around and parking, many streets and narrow roads.

Yeah I'm not sure if you can spec this in a bench row for the second seat. Would be nice if you really needed that extra seat. Audi Q7 I'm pretty sure offers that

I have one and love it! I was thinking of getting another one in a year or so, but the stylists at BMW have apparently lost their minds and are ruining the front end for 2023, at least according to the spy shots I’ve seen. I might just keep the one I’ve got.

In Europe we used to get the M50d X7, the same powertrain as in the X5 M50d.

Did your test BMW X7 M50i had rear wheel steering option? Would the 20" or 21" wheels be softer like as BMW 740i ride, instead of the 22" you tested? Thanks.
I'm not too sure if it did to be honest. Smaller rims would be softer. But I thought this was plenty smooth for a luxury car

You can pretty much get a feel for it! I was very comfortable and could be back there for a good bit of time! Very nice to see that for a third row!

They had rear seat entertainment option ($2,200) in earlier model years 2019 -2021, not sure if they have it for 2022.

BMW actually makes a bunch of SUV's to fit different family sizes. The X5 is a 2 row ;)
And the X3 is still a great size but a bit smaller then the 5.

The X5 M has a V8 im pretty sure. Range Rover might be a good option. Or Lexus

Yeah that's a downside then. But I've seen X5 M's with hitches on them. Not sure about the 7. If I had one I'd want to be able to tow with it

Zonk for not having mid row ventilated seats
Most second row vehicles do not have ventilated seats, I can't think of any that do. It's mostly the heated option.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed it’s a fantastic, in many ways admirable SU(A)V, it’s just at that price point it would be great to get the ventilated seats for 2nd row pax. The 22 Hyundai palisade has both heated and ventilated three stage seats in the back for about half price.
@@EricInTampaAcoustic That is a good point, but performance wise they are much different. Maybe they will add that at some point though!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Kia Telluride, Hyundai Palisade, and Genesis GV80 all have ventilated/cooled 2nd row seats. Recently saw a video that explained some car manufactures (like GM) uses a seat cooling function (has cooling in seat and blows cool air on you). BMW uses a ventilated seat with fans that draw the heat away from the body. BMW's idea is cooled seats get too cool and can be uncomfortable. I found it interesting.

Pretty much. Being an automatic its already going to be a smooth transition from gear to gear

@@BrosFOURRSpeed no idea. But in sport or sport plus there was a nice rev and sometimes an exhaust crackle and pop on downshift. Also it revved up at start up. All factory. I ordered an X7 M50 i and was hoping it had some of the same features. Either way it’s definitely getting some exhaust mods and hopefully someone will come out with a tune. 🤙🏼

lol yeah they like adding the M Sport to a lot of cars. Great marketing to be honest. But it's a nice blend of not spending the money for an M car and getting more performance then the normal one
This one you are showing can't tow 1 Lbs. At all. It doesn't have a tow hitch.
Tow hitch is an option. But I'm stating the towing number to say that in general. A BMW X7 M50 can tow that much. This vehicle is capible, but this particular spec needs a hitch.

USA spec vehicles are different from the UK ones if that's what you are talking about! Plus it's an SUV so it doesn't need to do 155!

a luxury car in 2022 that only gets 15MPG in the city? that is pretty awful. i used to have a 2018 econoline van that seats 10 people that got 19MPG in the city. damn shame.
This is a luxury performance SUV. Not about MPG. If you want that don't get the M50i. And people who want this type of vehicle are not wanting an Econoline van or a Prius. THis is a performance vehicle that is fast and actually fun to drive while being a 3 row. There are so many cars out there, buy what works for you. I'd buy one of these all day and I could care less about miles per gallon. All about smiles per gallon ;)

Honestly I would buy this over a Porsche! Much more tech and Porsche doesn't make a three row SUV either! The BMW's are pricey, but some of the Porsche models are so much more and to me, not worth paying that for the Porsche name! They are great cars, but everyone has a preference!

Dont slam the hood
Can't remember if I showed closing the hood in the vid. But you do need to at least let it drop from a foot to close all the way. Slamming it won't hurt it tho. The gas strut fight against the motion so it won't do any damage
This vehicle appears to be lacking in the technology department. Where are the bells and whistles?
It seems to have some good basics. What is it missing in your opinion?
The main thing, it’s missing is he self driving option like the Escalade and the Navigator has. No retractible running boards, entertainment system and the navigation system doesn’t look high end. Once I looked at the bells and whistles the New Escalade nothing else seems to get me exited when it comes to 100k + vehicles.
The drive assist is pretty astounding tech, and the Bower and Wilkins sound system blows away the Escalade.
Escalade wins with sheer size, but I only have two kiddos and they love the way our x7 M50i takes off. Definitely more fun to drive than our old 2019 LX 570.
Good lord, those legs need a serious visit to the salon for a serious wax job...

Honestly they are pretty nice. No different then the amount of plastic in other brands
No thank you I’ll take the Escalade Sport Platinum in white. The BMW X7 is way to harsh and it’s basically useless as an SUV because it offers almost no ground clearance. Also the tech is a little outdated vs the Escalade Sport Platinum. BMW X7 have one of the worst engine BMW makes. They are known for eating turbos, burning the heads, excessive oil consumption, coughing of oil, chopping on batteries and worst of all engine out for any little repair. BMW X7 is an absolute nightmare. I advise to run away when you see one
I've actually heard good things about the X7 from owners. It is a bit smaller on the inside then the Escalade. But I really think its a solid choice if you don't need 3 seating across. But buy what works for you ;)
