    I love watching Dick Powell and Ruby Keeler together. His voice is so beautiful and she is just such a cutie pie. This is one of my favorite films with the two of them together.

      Yes. They made a cute couple. The studio matched them well. I love Dick Powell's voice and his acting.
      I discovered him not too long ago and I'm glad I did, now I'm one his loyal fan.💞

    The movie that made me think twice about glaring over old flicks. It's the one that made me a fan for life! Harry Warren wrote so much great music- Shadow Waltz, Young and Healthy, The Gold Diggers Song ( We're in the Money), Forty Second Street, You're Getting To Be A Habit With Me, You're My Everything, I found A Million Dollar Baby,Jeepers Creepers, Cheerful Little Earful, Would You Like To Take A Walk, Nagasaki,You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby, I'll String Along With You
    Amazing!

    I absolutely LOVE all of those early Busby Berkeley movies with Dick Powell! The music was great; the movies themselves were easy to watch and very entertaining. My personal favorites are the Gold Digger series and the Broadway Melody series. These movies were lavish and lush, and Busby Berkeley spared no expense in producing them. Harry Warren wrote great music for these movies, and Dick Powell's awesome tenor expressed Harry Warren's songs so beautifully.
    Of all the songs used in these movies, my absolute favorite is "Shadow Waltz." Harry Warren, in my opinion, was the Mozart of motion pictures!
    Why doesn't anyone make movies like these anymore?

    They were magic together and they don't get nearly as much recognition today both individually and as a team (and yes, they were more than friends at one point) so their chemistry was likely very genuine.

    @goodfoo He is fantastic. Handsome, great tenor--almost operetta, good actor, and that sense of sassy fun--the knowingness that was his trademark.

    Lyrics
    In The Shadows, Let Me Come And Sing To You,
    Let Me Dream A Song That I Can Bring To You;
    Take Me In Your Arms And Let Me Cling To You,
    Let Me Linger Long,
    Let Me Live My Song.
    In The Winter, Let Me Bring The Spring To You,
    Let Me Feel That I Mean Ev'rything To You;
    Love's Old Song Will Be New,
    In The Shadows, When I Come And Sing To You Dear
    In The Shadows, Let Me Come And Sing To You,

    Yes there is, where its a staged production number. But it probably was deleted by Warners because it isn't on here anymore.
