Kate lay on the bed, gazing at the ceiling, her body partially covered by a sheet and a soft smile gracing her lips. She was content with her life and yearned to share this joy with the world. She loved her husband dearly, but she always held back her emotions around him, as he disapproved of excessive displays of them.
Turning her head, Kate looked at her husband. His attention was fixated on a painting hanging across the room, deep in thought. She affectionately asked, "What are you thinking about, my love?"
Caught off guard, Damian shrugged and answered absent-mindedly, "Oh, nothing really."
However, Kate could tell he was troubled by something. She got closer to him and rested her head on his chest. "I can tell you're thinking about something! Won't you tell me?"
Damian sighed. His wife was persistent, and he knew she wouldn't stop until he responded. He glanced at her, then back at the painting, before speaking slowly:
"I think we need a bigger apartment."
Kate immediately straightened up and looked him in the eyes. She was taken aback. They had discussed this a year ago, but Damian had been against it. Their current apartment suited them perfectly, so why the need for a new one? Of course, Kate hinted that it would be time for them to have children already, but her husband was not yet ready.
"Do you really mean it, Damian? Are you serious?" Kate asked, hopeful.
Damian shrugged his shoulders. "I'm not a fool. I understand everything! Yes, I think it's time for us to think about expanding our living space, given the planned changes. But please, no childish talk until we sort out the apartment."
Kate snuggled up to her husband again and showered him with kisses.
"No, no, I promise, no baby talk," she assured.
Damian sighed and smiled faintly. Hie saw that Kate could barely contain her excitement. It was quite obvious. If Damian had let her, she would have screamed with joy, run around the house and jumped on the bed! However, he deliberately did not allow her to express her feelings. He liked to control her. He felt important in her life as long as she obeyed. He kissed her on the forehead and replied:
"Let's go to sleep." We'll discuss everything later. This weekend we'll talk about it and come up with a plan. Good night, dear!"
Hearing his words, Kate frowned slightly. Should she wait a whole week to discuss everything!? Was he kidding?! At that moment, she was ready to talk all night long!
Kate knew that if he said that, he wouldn't even talk to her about the apartment for a week. He might have done it deliberately to make her suffer. But Kate didn't resent him for that. She was too fond of him to pay attention to such trifles. He loves her. That's the most important thing! Their feelings have been tested for years, and nothing can separate them! They'll always be together.
The story is great. Your acting skills are fantastic! Wendy's voice was grating, Ben's voice was warm, and Donna's voice was kind. You bring these stories to life. Thank you!

Another wonderful story, it seems like they are getting better all the time, they have all been wonderful stories and I have so many favorite and this one is on my favorite list, well actually, I think they are all my favorites. You do an amazing job at bringing each character to life, when you tell your stories it draws me in more and more and I can really feel all the emotions you portray. Your the best narrator. I also won't be a spoiler alert, but I will say it has a wonderful, happy ending. I can't wait for the next story. What a beautiful story! She was treated terrible by her husband and thank God for Donna who helped her overcome her fears and conquer them. You have a beautiful voice and I enjoy these stories. I am so surprised there was no police investigation over the hit and run accident. Kate was blind but still remembered the chain of events. The hospital had to have reported it. The documentation could have solved the case sooner. Thank heaven for Donna and others who loved Kate and created a wonderful healing and closure. A life with love grows and carries on for the ages. ❤ Thank you for a lovely encouraging story.
