- While rushing to a sick patient in a snowstorm, the doctor saw a homeless woman with a little girl. Feeling sorry for them, he gave them the keys to his cottage, and when he arrived there unexpectedly, he was shocked

Samuel wearily placed his suitcase on the table and began to unbutton his jacket. He was relieved that the long, cold, and dreary December day was finally over.
The doctor was already imagining how he would go home and get under a hot shower for about 20 minutes, and then drink hot tea with ginger and lemon for a long and leisurely time.
"Oh, you are back already!" Carla greeted him in a syrupy voice. Over her blue medical uniform, she had thrown a thick, long shawl, a necessity given the poor heating in the small district hospital.
The doctor was wary. Carla was easy to work with, not only because she was local and knew all the doctors and patients well, but also because the nurse always had everything written down properly.
And now, by the guilty expression and flattering tone of her voice, it was clear that Samuel was expecting not very pleasant news.
"What else is on our plate today, Carla?" he asked in as stern a voice as he could muster.
But his stern voice didn't fool the nurse. After five years of working together, Carla knew Samuel only feigned strict. He was genuinely kind and composed.
"We have another call," she said softly, pushing a report towards him.
Samuel's dark eyebrows lifted, nearly touching his curly hair.
"No!" Samuel responded firmly. "My shift ended two hours ago."
"Dr.McCready, please," Carla pleaded. "It's an elderly woman living alone on the outskirts of the village. Coincidentally, it's near your summer cottage. You could stop by there on your way home."
"I have so much to do at home in December," Samuel replied, his voice heavy with sarcasm. However, his tone had softened, and Carla sensed she was winning.
"You know, in a snowstorm like this, no ambulance can navigate our roads," she added, delivering her final argument.
"Yes, I know," Samuel sighed, rubbing his eyes. "Tell me, what's happened to this elderly woman of yours?"
Seizing the opportunity before Samuel could change his mind, Carla quickly relayed the details.
"Here, I wrote it down for you. Take the main street, turn right at the store, and go all the way to the end. It's the last house with the green gate."
"Yes. My cottage isn't far."
"Aha!" the nurse replied cheerfully, then asked, "Should I wait for you?"
The doctor shook his head. "Go home, Carla. Your workday is long over. I'll stay at my summer house after the patient and come from here in the morning."
They said goodbye and Samuel went to the car. He hoped the old car would start despite the frost. The car grumbled, coughed, but started.
The snowstorm made driving challenging, especially with the few streetlamps providing minimal light. As Samuel passed the store and turned right, he thought he saw a figure on the road.
Upon closer look, it was a woman. She was swaying slightly and holding a large bundle to her chest, presumably a child.
Samuel slowed down. - Развлечения

Wow, that was a real thriller. Love listening to your narrating and what a great ending. 😊❤
Captivating story, sad yet beautiful....Best narrator ever.
What a wonderful story with a lot of suspense but with a happy ending ! I enjoyed it so much so i won’t say much I want the next reader to enjoy it as much as I did! The author is splendid and the narrator’s voice complimented the story Thank you so much!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!💖💖
What a fantastic story thank you for all the wonderful stories on your channel
Bravo to the author and narrator, you have brought me great joy because I have many autoimmune diseases, which has led to physical and mental degeneration. I will be 55 years old in May 2024 and this week I have been diagnosed with Subcortical Vascular Dementia. There are times I can’t process information so I have decided to listen to your stories because you narrate in a tone that somehow my brain appreciates.😂 We are experiencing empty house syndrome so my poor hubby will have to listen to a summary of your story. It’s a way to keep my brain active. I am ever so grateful one of your stories appeared. Lot’s of hugs from Nicky, Cape Town, South Africa.
Thank you. Just when I think I heard the best, another beautiful story. love happy ending and that the bad evil people get theirs
Well written and presented!
Loved the story and the narration🎉
Great story wonderful narrator❤
Thank you so much!
Beautiful story and it seriously needs to be made into a movie. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
What a good story. Poor Betty and Sophie, they went through so much with their captor. His wife must have left him and Sophie, then he kidnapped Betty to replace her. Even though Betty went through a lot, she finally matured and became a wonderful young woman. She can now cook, clean and think of others, rather than herself. I'm happy Samuel found her and Sophie. Now both girls are going to have a happy life with a wonderful, caring and loving Samuel
Beautiful story..thank you...keep up the good work..❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for listening
Tears & sorry may last for the night, but joy will come in the morning!(Paraphrased). What an intriguing story this is. So happy with the ending & Betty & Sophia’s nightmare was finally over. Samuel didn’t stop to help Betty by accident; it was divine intervention!!
My dear friend you are incredible & those in the comments are right; this and many other stories you share would make excellent movies.
I hope you got my email. With Love & Prayer, Pat ♥️🙏🌷
"Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning". A Psalm 30:5 written by the Israeli King David.
Very nice story.Congrats!
Thanks ❤
Unusual story, not so much about man-woman relationship, but amazing. Your narration is excellent, it simply surpasses everyone I have heard up to now.Thank you dear narrator.
Wow! I love the story! I listened and visualize it intensely. Went through it with great emotions. I am left in the dark. My questions are: who was the kidnapper? What was his reason for the kidnapping? Who was Sophie? Or any relations? Lastly, what was done to the kidnapper?
As usual the stories have happily endings. Only the in between kept me mystified. Thank you Madame Author and Narrator. ❤🎉❤
I read all the comments hoping that there was someone asking the same questions that I had and I found you. I hope there is a follow up that would answer all these. Great story though. ❤❤
What a fantastic story to start the week. I love this channel so much that I put a play list on and fall asleep to your narration nightly. The narrator's voice is so calming and lovely to me. Thank you for your commitment to this channel. ❤😊❤
I really enjoyed this story ☺️ 😊 😄 😍. After all what Betty and Sophie went through and Samuel finding them and helping them out. I'm glad they ended up together. Lovely ending 😍 ❤️ 💖 💕 👌

Thank you for finding time and leaving so much comments on the videos 💖💖💖
@trueloveandotherfables you have a very beautiful voice 😍 ❤️ and you make your stories interesting 😊 to the point where your viewers want more. I have listened to other narrators and most of them do not put feelings into the stories they read. For the most I'd look for your channel just to listen to your stories. Please keep 🙏 bringing us more stories .
👏✨❤️Great story… with genuine suspense, drama and deep heart. 👍👍The happy ending's an extra treat… bc things could've ended differently.
💖Dear Narrator, MUCH appreciated! Your well-done reading AND lovely voice and intonation >greatly< adds to the story. Thank -you- for your efforts.
Great story.
This story should be shared with every spoiled and entitled kid. Hopefully, it will help change their attitudes for the better.
Beautiful thanks you
This was a nail biter for sure. Betty and Sophie had a hard time until they met Samuel. I'm glad that in the end everything turned out well. Thanks for sharing.
I love the narrator❤
What a compelling story. As I listen I wonder where Betty's parents were....
I loved this ,thank you❤I always love a happy ending great to listen with a cup of coffee in hand.

This story was excellent! Thank you for sharing! xoxoxo
Remember; the darkest night eventually ends with the lights of the new day. Just like how the darkest times end with the light of hope
It's always a joy to read your stories!! ❤❤

Great ! Excellent speech . Could listen intently all day . Get the others to do the same !
Why did that guy abduct the girls? Where were Sophie's parents?
Another good story, though.
An outstanding story. glad everything turned out alright and the arse wipe got caught. (Mississippi Gulf Coast, USA)
Amen
Awesome story I’m guessing that creep had kidnapped both Sophie and Betty. But the princess were rescued by more ways than one. A happily ever after 🙏🏻♥️
❤❤🎉🎉😊😊
Where did the little girl come from? Was she the man's daughter? I'm kind of confused about that.
❤
Would be nice to see why Betty was kidnapped , who Sophie was
Wonderful narration as always.
We never did find out Sophie's origins, but I guess that is irrelevant
Our Lady of grace please help me and my family for a financial blessing so that my daughter will be able to pay for her children's school fees that is outstanding and by grace she will be able to get a better job to be able to support her children and I also requested for my other daughter ephy for financial assistance for operations on her ear growth and all of us to make ends meet I ask all of this through your mighty powers and love our mother our Lady of grace amen and amen ❤
I am adding my prayers to all those who have stopped to offer up their prayers at your request. There are many prayer warriors about. Many are disabled as I am and are unable to be out and about like the good doctor in the story, but God still hears your prayers--So Keep Praying!! Blessed Be.
Did Betty and Samuel got married?❤
Betty paid for her rebellion. It's always good to listen to parents. Spoiling our children because we're rich leads to such unreasonableness.
Ot seems thatbeaker and tink want a little alone time and privacy !!
u left out t did the man kidnap both girls and who is Sophia that's all missing from the story
truelove and fables I ❤❤ to listen to ur stories everyday but when the writer leaves out important put I have to comment no hardfellings tho but I don't give back an answer yy?these stories let me learn more about life itself 🤗
What happened did they get married?
@visitacionpalmer... in ending couple minutes, says that Samuel was Betty's fiancé… so that plus everything that's said presupposes they'll be married AND be happy.
Personally, I think the jewel in the equation is little Sophie, and that Betty was able to adopt her.
So, it ends up a wonderful joining together AND growing forward in all three of their lives… for Samuel, Betty and Sophie.

ok but keeping changing the story got to 48:11 got bored
Clearly you are not able to use your imagination or stay focused. Unfortunately there are many people who suffer with this. It’s such a pity because the best escape is to use your imagination and to remained focused when reading or listening to a story.
