I have a 05 LLbean 3.0R that has been garaged for its entire life. No rust 150,000 miles. Runs like new. Have replaced the hubs, suspension bushings, struts, driveshaft, etc in order to keep it riding like new. Would love to do this to my ride. What do you think of the 1 inch lift? Thanks
Brother how u linking the outback ..im looking into outback v6 with auto transmission.. or honda pilot ..rather get the outback for outdoor activities ..how reliable has it been for daily and light off trail use ?
i can't believe i missed your comment! first i LOVE my subaru and would totally recommend it. It's my daily driver and it gets around 25mpg total but it use to get 26-27 before the lift. Mines the 2.5 and haven't felt any power issue but i would like the v6 for towing and putting more stuff in my subaru like a cool bumper. Hit me up if you have anymore questions i just put a after market trailer hitch and plan on doing a lot more stuff soon
Could you tell me ... how much stiffer if at all did your lift make your ride? I'm looking at buying a 13-14 manual and want to make it as capable as possible ... but my favorite part of the car is it's supple ride. Thoughts? Thanks
I don't know what they did all the way around, the kit was from Subtle solutions: www.subtle-solutions.com/product_info.php?products_id=955&osCsid=df4b1e672f2ff04bb6ede7285f199f7b
@@rtakahashi a friend of mine has a 2014 outback with eyesight and he wants to lift it higher than stock. I think this will cause issue because the eyesight is calibrated to stock height and raising will throw everything out of whack. Would you agree?
this is what i have: method 501 Rally-bronze 17x8 www.methodracewheels.com/collections/rally-wheels/products/mr501-rally-bronze toyo: 225/65R17 www.toyotires.com/tire/pattern/all-terrain-tires-open-country-at-ii I really like how the tires work and they're a good weight. The KO2's are way heavier, we don't have a lot of choices and i wish toyo made the Mud tire in the same size because it looks cool (and that's what matters... jk) i do off road and they're great tires, i'm not disappointed
Nice! I got a 2014 3.6 and have be having a hard time finding what tires and wheels work for it if i left the suspensions stock. Ok looking at Method 502s in 17x8” and BFG 225x65R17. Do you know if that would work? What tire and wheel size are you using?
@@rtakahashi which Falcon tires in specific? Would they work with a 2012 Subaru Outback 2.5i limited? Would you suggest the 225/65/17 size vs the 225/60/17 if I wanted to lift it?
The tires didn't come out cause you bought the OEM size which is 225/65/r17. With a 2" lift kit, you can put on 245/65/r17 , but you have to get mags with a 45 offset
How comfortably does the 245/65/17 fit with a 1.5” lift? I’m installing my lift this week and can not decide what tire to run, I want the most aggressive tire I can get in such a small size, in a 245/65 there is a lot of better tire options rather than a 235/65/17 that I know would fit comfortably.
@@Jacob.Shepherd I know some people put 15' tires with 245/75R15 but that's with a 2" lift kit. So maybe a 235/75R15 for you would look aggressive and fit perfectly, but don't forget the offset of your rim or mag. Can't go wrong with a 45 offset
I have 225/70/15 method mr502's my 2014 outback. tires are massive and very aggressive compared to the stock setup. the only thing i had to do was make a minor trim to the front mudflaps. something to consider as an alternative.

Good stuff, very thorough, I was curious about the tire width and possible road noise increases.
13C Gun Reviews went from 225 60r 17 to 225 65r 17 and I cant tell the noice but, it tracks different for sure because it’s not road tires
Could you send me a link for the spacers you got I have a 2013 outback that I’m building for a rally performance/look
Two years later - are you still happy with your choices? Looking at doing the same

I felt it road better and never felt a negative point besides gas mileage. You will loose about 1-1.5 miles per gallon
Hey Rick, sweet lift job and sweet ride fella. Stay safe
Thanks unfortunately a drunk driver killed my car but I bought a new Ascent

yes
Does this one have a cvt transmisson? If so did it ever give you any trouble?
Subble? You mean subtle?
how much does it cost total with lifting, tires and rims?
I have a lot of awesome friends that cut me breaks, so, i wouldn't be able to tell you the real price.
Rims= $500
Tires= $800
Lift kit= $600
Aside from the strut spacers, what other spacers were installed? Are those the multi link and trailing arm spacers?

I didn’t have eyesight in that one but it shouldn’t because the new ones come lifted

How much was the lift
i think the kit was 650 and i did a cash deal to get it installed between 5-600
