Assassins blade gives you SO MUCH context and backstory of the main charachter, I initially read the Assassins blade third and then re-read the series, reading it first and prefered this!
I stand by assassins blade first I will die on that hill. It’s more emotional first and chronological order makes the most sense for reading it the first time. My best friends just read it one of them with it first and the other third and they also both agreed first is better and my best friend regretted not putting it first!
I read throne of glass first and read assassins blade third. I honestly wish I had read assassins blade first. I found myself wanting to know what happens next after Crown of Midnight and not really enjoying Assassins blade because of it.
glad to hear you enjoyed mile high! I want to start the windy city series but I know lots of people didn't like mile high so it's put me off starting. I'm so excited to start binding 13 too
I read 11 book in January which was a bumper month for me :D My current reads are: Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree Then There Were...Two Murders? by P.C. James
Assassin’s Blade is the chronological order, Throne of Glass is the romantic order. If you read Throne of Glass first, you will be spoiled for certain events in Assassin’s Blade. That being said you won’t be explicitly spoiled and I suppose it could work as a flashback book, but would you want a whole book as a flashback? Regardless of people’s opinions in the reading order, which will never be agreed upon, you know your own heart and mind as to what type of reader you are. Go with your heart and mind and forget what those people who say you should do the opposite because it is you reading the books, not them. Yes, I know they enjoyed and want you to enjoy them the way they did but the only other alternative would be to not read the series at all which could be a shame if they turn out to be a 5 🌟 series 😊
Binged the first two Boys of Tommen and adored them as much as you can with the subject matter. I’m on a break form reading the second 2 as it follows another couple but I won’t wait too long.
I read The Assassin’s Blade first and I can’t imagine not reading it first 😂

Have you read A Little Life. TW are heavy but it is heartbreaking if you love sad books
I read Assassin's Blade after the whole series was over.😂 And it made sense to read it last.

Has Sarah J Maas actually suggested a specific reading order? Straight from the author’s mouth might be worth the consideration.
