So, After waiting for years, Huawei finally made the biggest announcement today by unveiling its New operating system called as the Huawei HarmonyOS NEXT, If you don’t know about this new OS, you can watch my previous video, I will attach the link of it as well. So the thing is, Huawei has officially launched the HarmonyOS NEXT beta version at the HDC 2024. The new software is full of significant changes as well as performance improvements and after months of leaks and rumours, the new testing version is finally here.

Dont think Harmony Os next goes global soon because of dedicated apps and in beginning its only 5000 Chinese apps they said in the presentation and today 1500 apps are done so its alot to even reach 5000 apps goal to Q4. This Os will not support apk or Aosp and Microg are Apk app build on Linux and Android kernel.
I think huawei will take their time. Maybe all huawei devices will sell mainly with harmonyos next, five yrs from now. But until then they will continue using android based harmonyos & emui

@@swedenevguru8483They have 4000 apps developed not 1500. I don't know where you get those figures from but a couple or month ago they announced that they have developed 4000 apps for HOS and needed to reach 5000.

Huawei said that they will release it globally when they have many apps developed.
You can import it like alot today to get newest updates and Chinese version support 5G global doesnt. But Harmony Os next will not support apk or aosp only dedicated apps. Today they have 1500 chinese apps done with a goal on 5000 to Q4 but not sure they reach it. So if you think 3500-5000 Chinese apps are enough. Then buy it but for me i need other apps to get it working

The problem is not Huawei, but whether the United States will intervene, especially in the NATO region

Make the bold move and rename AI (Artificial Intelligence) to HI (Harmony Intelligence) like what Apple did (Apple Intelligence).

Huawei, nice. Ever heard of Immersive Translate?? It is a tool with meticulously crafted prompts, that allows translations in the technology field become more accurate and professional.
Will it be free open source like AOSP it is based on?
I upgraded from Mickeysoft to Apple about 25 years ago. Now i'm ready to upgrade from Apple to a Huawei laptop. I already have a Huawei smartphone. Viva China!

Most important thing are to get all dedicated apps to Appgallery then the customers will buy the phones. In Europe alot used American apps and trade war will do that this will not happen. Sweden stop sell Huawei after P40 Pro when they got Appgallery and customers couldnt get there apps and picked another phone
The only way to win this battle, make it developer friendly. Especially those indie developer. Give incentive to them. Thats how android survive in the old days.

I think the key problem is how to let google apps work on it ... This might be the most concerned thing of international users

Harmony has now passed IOS. Next is the mount Everest of OS, Android. Can Harmony become number one? Time will tell.
Can other Chinese company able to use Harmony OS Next?
Huawei told early that other companies could adapt to Harmony Os but in this 5 years it have been on the market no one have get onboard because of app support. Huawei will not support apk or aosp on next because they want developers to code dedicated apps for the Os and because of micro g and Gbox and similiar solutions developers havent code dedicated apps for harmony os. So now they takeaway this support to only dedicated apps like ios have today

Other companies could develop their own Harmony OS based on OpenHarmony, but that's unlikely, except for Honor
Harmony OS is also used in EVs, household appliances, TV, watches, PC,...IoT,..already hundreds of millions devices in China are using Harmony OS and they all could've linked and interwork.

@@ibrahimtouman2279 well, Huawei works really hard and fast, they evolve rapidly and right now they main focus is on developing enough apps for global users and they certainly have the resources and potential to do it by 2025.
Unless Google develops the HarmonyOS software, it can only be used in China
i said it like months ago. Huawei is the best phone company, they finally made like an os like ios. FINALLY someone, samsung is so bad in ui and stuff. Huawei is like ios now, they want to be intependet after what happened to them. They gonna have, their own os, own processor, own display, own gllass....just everything and plus 1 thing....even own google services. huawei is getting better than apple. more costumazation and in my opinion huawei has the best animations ever, they are the smothes ever. my huawei p30lite is way better than my shitty new redmi note 12. i hate xiamoi for copying the animations of huawei. xiamoi only replaced huawei cus of google services.
Xiaomi got the best selling phone because of affordable and Google Play Store so customers can get there apps. Huawei have alot of affordable phones and tablets before sanctions and with Google Play Store they sold alot when Huawei Appgallery replaced it customers couldnt get there apps and return it to the store and they stop sell it directly in Sweden. If Huawei solved the apps from beginning they still sold the units in alot of countries.

Harmony os next will only support dedicated apps and will be on a own Kernel. It will not support apk or aosp. Today they have 1500 Chinese apps with a goal on 5000 to Q4 and i think they maybe reach 3500 to release. So for me i cant only have Chinese apps like Taobao and Alipay
This is like asking if iPhone can install Google play store.
They could only do virtualization for android apps like gbox etc.
@@PopCapMusicTrending Then Gbox app need to be coded for Harmony Os for today the most apps are apk. The same with Micro G but maybe they can solve it later thats nothing we now today

Of course they will, especially WhatsApp. The majority if not all of their global user use it, so they will.

@@terry1708 U.S. developers are working with Huawei, of course they will develop WhatsApp or other American apps that are used globally or else they would not be planning to globalise Harmony OS Next.
I eagerly to wait big lawsuit coming . up until now huawei phone is still an android device but HarmonyOS NEXT is different story .

Just big words, nothing concrete and as long as the market of phones with emui is forgotten MORE THAN those where huawei lied for over 1 year that it brings emui 13 on p40pro. I can't wait to forget about this company. I renounce these miserable liars. I spent 4 years with the p40 pro and what I get in return is only indifference. So I point my finger at them and we move on.

There's no need ANY Google services in CHINA
Why? Software and hardware will be much more efficient than any Windows or Android for sure
You know, it's not like China is still in the stone age, their technology (hardware and software) is pretty much 1st world and beyond, Why do you think it got banned ? and no, spionage is not the correct answer. Apple (the national phone) was in big trouble , better take some action against Huawei.
As long as it relies on the Chinese market, Huawei can suvive well enough. In the short term, the international version can only be an optimized version based on Android, not the next version.
