He was a star basketball player graduated had a good life, I allowed a coach to influence me to change the schools because he was going state for basketball and it negatively changed his whole life forever..... Next thing I no the family was looking for me I had nothing to do with nothing, was a successful business owner! I left Milwaukee my grandkids his kids whom he will never see in the real 🌎 and I'll never be in the land of the living if he ever gets out....

However, there are many variables that go into setting bail such the type of crime, the defendants criminal history, defendants risk of flight, the defendant's dangerousness, safety of the community, defendants record of appearing in court, etc... The public may feel otherwise but the law is not about feelings. A person is only to have alleged to have committed a crime until the case makes it way through the court system but they are still afforded due process because the courts do not want risk the alleged to be exonerated on a technicality which has happened time and time again. For example, defendants have been known to have charges their dropped when there is not a speedy trial. Some defendants have become so skilled in it they know what to do and when to do it to start the clock ticking. As much as the judge would not want to, legally they have to drop the charges and release them.
