Used to meet Rose and her husband many a time when I worked for as tech support for a mobile network in the UK in retail. Lovely couple, so warm and friendly, and a real iconic woman that Scotland should be proud of 🥃

I saw her on the field when she was playing for Milan. She was an amazing player, class, elegance, and a great tecnique at the same level as the males pro. It was a real pleasure to watch her playing and scoring.

Just read the Guardian newspaper article summarizing Rose's career - like most readers I had never heard this amazing story. Too bad there will have been no video or film recordings of Rose's skills in her playing days, but nevertheless kudos to Rose for her perseverance and passion for the game.

I well remember her, she played here in Italy together with her fellow countrywoman Edna Neillis at Milan then Lecce and Fiorentina, whereas at Rome there was Anne O'Brien from Dublin, an Irishwoman that became Roman by adoption , she left us some years ago aged 60 because of a cancer :(

    "World Cup Winner" 😂
The BS that comes out of Scotland about this woman is comical. Anything for a bit of associated success in football. If she won the World Cup, can you tell me why both Italy, and England women, who won the tournament twice each, dont claim to have won the womens World Cup, or have stars on their shirts? It was an invitational tournament ffs.
