I found this video in a different video and clicked on this video link and I cant believe that he has so few followers. I started learning piano but then my piano teacher broke her hip and had to retire so I sadly quit for a bit. But then I heard some of my uncle's friends play piano and I remembered that I promised her I wouldn't stop playing and got back into it. Now I aim to please, and remember her saying wrist up and back straight and dont forget the rest. Update: she sadly passed a way recently, she was a wonderful teacher and I miss her deeply. I hope she's doing well on the other side. She had thought piano since she was 14 she lived to almost 90. Rest in peace Mrs Chavis
This is currently my favorite, and the best performance of Moonlight Sonata 3rd Movement. I enjoyed Valentina Lisitsa's performance, but this performance trumps all others.
This is my absolute favorite performance of this piece. I’ve probably watched this video at least fifty times. Amazing work! I’d give my left hand to play like this, but then - oh wait...
Mr Boyde, your performance of the "Moonlight Sonata" is fantastic!!!! It's the best I've heard!!!!! Thank you so much for making available for the enjoyment of all of us!!!!!
I love how he ably differentiates the different sections, phrases, and moods. So many run things together or without the subtle distinctions captured here.
I’ve been looking for the best version for this amazing musical piece and so far this is the best one.... i could only imagine how Liszt or Bethoven himself played it, maybe in heaven!
My favorite performance of this song on RUclips. Love the passion its played with. Andreas's willingness to go really slow in the slow bits and really quiet in the quiet bits is very cool.
This is the best interpretation I've heard here on YT. I usually give some sort of criticism, and I can to some degree, but no this was great. You deserve the applause sir. Thank you.
Bravo! Mr. Boyde played the heck out of this piece! I particularly like how he lingers on the octave G to G# near the end. His dynamics and articulation are impeccable. Pristine performance.
Incredible. My favourite interpretation as far as RUclips experience goes. Played with real feeling and emotion. Truly excellent. I'm now tempted to make the three hour journey to see you playing in Devon UK, September 4th.
Beautifull and special performance. I never saw the endpart playing like this (at 6:26 where both hands play the scales) . At 5.58 these 4 notes are written as sixteenths. Here they are played as sixty-fourth notes, so the delay effect is not audible. Nevertheless, it is among the best performances I have heard.
Finally someone who plays it at the right speed (for me)
How can you know how Beethoven wanted it ?
I totally agree with you
Strongly agree with this. Most people that actually know it play too fast
How about Valentina? She's amazing too
@@fravain4863 that's true

I love this interpretation. Andreas plays this probably the way Beethoven himself would have. He even looks like Beethoven!
Yes, he really looks like Beethoven...
Beethoven! Beholden the great Beetroot man, a prodigy of music for real.
Great sound on the piano too
Agree 100%
Love the Passion!!!
Yes!
If i ever will enter to a time machine, i would go back in time just to listen how Beethoven played this!
potbaba17 me to
All pianist write the song exactly how they wouldve played it.
My guess is this guy it the closest you’ll hear to how Beethoven would have played it. He even looks like Beethoven!
He would have played it very aggressively and accurately with a calm and serious demeanor.
U don't need to enter to a time machine, u just need looking for me,
Perfection. Right tempo. Right intensity. Perfect control.
AMAZING!!!!
to je jak od Wilhelm Kempff:)
Passionate!.
Just like Beethoven!!!
Dig the intensity. But I think you need more pianos in that room.
Yes I was wondering how much the incredible note warmth was due to the sympathy of the piano audience.
Just one more, I think.
The best one I think...
This is by far the best youtube performance!
Someone who plays like this really deserves more subs and likes.
Dynamics are absolutely superb and he isn't afraid to utilize the rests. GREAT!
By far one of the best performance moonlight mov. 3 i have ever seen
Beautiful. Genuine, immediate, clean. I bet Beethoven himself would have really liked this approach to the piece.
WHO ARE YOU!!!? Excelent performance.

One of my favorite pieces by Beethoven, and this performance is both expressive and moving. Wonderful.

Tempo...phrasing and dynamics on point

At last... found somebody who've played the moonlight 3rd mov fine with no extra emotions, with minimal mistakes... except at the ending that is.
muhtesem
Watching this just gave me carpal tunnel syndrome
I like this performance to but my favorite are wilhelm kemoff and murray periaha
There's a little mistake here.. 0:54 this part (variation) is only played afterwards.
