Eric has aged like 30 seconds.
30 seconds 🤣
no cuz literally
He was frozen in Carbonite for 17 years
I loved Red's big smile at Leia's comment about Yoda...It just screams " That's my grandbaby ! "
I just realized, if there's more seasons hopefully they get to 1999 so Eric can see the Phantom Menace 😅
Oh no… low key Eric’s the kinda guy to overreact so hard he’d try to change his daughter’s name over how bad Ep 1 is.
@Nick Grimes omg that be hilarious bro!!!
Lmfao he’s going to hate it 😂
He's gonna hate Jar-Jar lmao
I binge the whole thing already. I really liked it. I hope they get a season 2.
How many episode Eric in ?
@@dimitrisgreen2883 one. donna and fez are in three tho
If it does well, which I hope it does but I'm skeptical because it's Netflix, they'll at least have up to 4 seasons because that's usually Netflix's limit, it'd be cool if they went further though
Same! Today was my day off so I finally finished it. Waiting for more episodes!!!
@@delanataylor Yeah it definitely seems to me like Leia and Jay are this shows version Of Eric and Donna so if this show does get more seasons then my guess is by the end of it they'll be together
I've really been enjoying this. You can tell Leia is Eric and Donna's kid (plus I love that her name is Leia to begin with). Haven't finished the season yet but I'm loving the vibe and the new crew has tons of potential.
i'm enjoying it too, not a huge fan of some of the kids tho, personally leia's one of them but hoping they'll get better as the season goes for me
I kind of wish Leia was a middle name that she took on for herself at the end of episode 1. I still don't buy Donna putting Leia on the birth certificate.
update: i think it's gotten worse, still got a few more episodes but god the writing and dialogue in the last episode i watched was soooo bad, nothing made me laugh all the way through, if anything it made me cringe and wonder why ppl decided to make this show, don't get me wrong, ive liked some of the show, there can be funny parts but most of the comedy is so forced, i was pretty happy with the first episode, made it seem promising, same goes with maybe the 2nd and third but that's kind of it. anyways that's my rant
@@corymorrow5329 Sorry you've felt that way. I've thought it was hilarious, but different things work for different people, humour included.
@@kyleellis1825 Why not? Leia is a really pretty name.
Oh wow! I love the callback to Donna being a writer in the original series.
Ashton Kutcher has not lost a beat playing Kelso. His tone, his faces and mannerisms. Nothing has changed
His tone was SPOT ON!
Still got it, they all do.
Leia’s interaction with that beer lady gave me Donna vibes 😂. The whole blackmail thing
Just finished a binge. I enjoyed it. Kitty and Red are perfect. I think some of the younger cast are finding their footing but Gwen and Nate are strong throughout. Also loved Sherri. She reminded me of Rhonda, who just fits in with the cast instantly (until she just vanished). Great to see the returning cast too and Laura directs an episode which is pretty cool.
Leia and Jay Kelso were awesome too!!! I think they really shine.
The very last episode of That 70s Show took place on December 31st, 1979... in That 90s Show, Leia Forman turns 15 in July 1995. Which means that she was born in July of 1980, meaning that Donna was pregnant with her in the last episode of That 70s Show... but Eric was in Africa all year
Also, Kelso and Jackie's kid is older than Leia which means that Jackie was also pregnant in the finale of That 70s Show, but she wasn't with Kelso she was with Fez
Yeah they definitely fucked up the timeline.
Leia could be a premature baby
@@viciousLUA It bothers me too, but then, I remember that 70s show had like 8 christmas in four years.
Callie nailed Eric's geeky energy as Leia.
And in the few times Leia gets assertive, she gives off Donna vibes.
She really did her homework!
If there's a season 2 they need to bring in Kelso's daughter Brooke and Lori
OH YEAH!!!
Little problem with Lori. Let's just say she's down Six Feet Under
@Blount County Predator Catchers no! randy sucked
@Blount County Predator Catchers yeah but it wouldn't be the same
@@KMDragonS there were two Laurie actresses, so they could definitely bring back the other one.
I really hope that's the same Vista Cruiser! Somebody had to keep that thing as a keepsake!
The actor who played Fez bought the Vista Cruiser and restored it. From my understanding, he loaned it to the producers to use on That 90's Show.
i finished the whole season in one sitting😂
Jackie technically never left Point Place Kelso left but I guess he came back. I’m pretty sure they live in town since They’re son is best friends with the other kid.
I only watched this because I saw you were watching it. Im so glad I did. It was fun and brought back so many good memories. Thanks.
I loved it hope Netflix gives us another season
Jackie and kelso had to have moved back to point place because there son has been best friends with the other kid since they were little, which means he has to have lived there all this time. Also both couples had to have gotten pregnant within a year of the end of the last episode of that 70’s show to have kids in their teens. The last episode was the beginning of the 80’s and this takes place in 95’
It really is super fun, and hopefully Netflix gives it time to blossom (like Leia's buds 😂) 😊
Thank you for a reaction video on this show. I was afraid no one would. I'm huge fan of original, but I am also loving this. I've been trying to put the new ones to old cast and think I've got it now. So glad you was trying to figure that out to.
In the final season (1999), Eric should take his family to see Star Wars Episode 1, only to watch out traumatized.
I doubt it'll survive that much on Netflix, but as both a Star Wars fan and an Eric Forman fan that would be comedy gold
after watching the entire season I can tell you, its like a hit miss engine when it hits it hits hard, but then sometimes the joke just completely misses, but then it hits so hard again that the whole show keeps my attention.
I've recently re-watched the first 2 seasons of that 70s show, and this is keeping the same vibe. I think some people are looking at the OG with some rose-colored glasses, but I enjoyed the first episode!
11:05 the delightful change from “I have to deal with my kid” to “I get to watch my kid deal with his kid”.
I love this show and to see everyone back 🙌
Finished the show last night I gotta say,its not half bad. Its funny, cute and charming. I hope we get a second season.
Literally just finished this its so funny I liked it a lot
"Partaken in the green." Lol
I've never been big into it either because of the hassle, but if you're curious, a bunch of hemp products were legalized via a Farm bill several years ago nationwide. You can buy disposable vaporizers from almost any vape shop, choosing from a surprising number of products that affect you differently.
I use something called HHC in the evenings around dinnertime and before bed. It makes my meal amazing and I sleep so much better. You'll have a new appreciation for "the circle," though. About a 5-6 second puff will last about an hour, taste like candy, and won't fog up your house or make it smell like anything. And if you're not constantly using it, it'll last you forever. Just throwing it out there in case anyone over 21 is looking to throw away $30-40 for a legal stoning.
Also depending on the account of when her school time was, Leia coming for the summer explains the 10 episode count.
10 weeks = 2 1/4 months. A summer fulfilled in the 90s 😂
Great response. I didn't think of it that logistically. It totally makes sense.
gad a really hilarious realization. that candyland stash is at least 15 years old lol. thats some stale dried out weed lol.
I’m really enjoying the first episode and I agree with you Omni. First episodes take a little time to get into the groove. I’m watching Topher Grace on another series, Home Economics. The first episode was a little shaky but I stuck with it and now it’s one of my favorite series. It’s on Hulu if you want to check it out.
I'm watching all of your reactions for this show. However, I'm happy to see you rockin the Hellfire Club shirt. Hell yea!
You know what at first I didn't like the kids too much but by the end of the season they've grown on me and I hope it gets picked up for season 2 because I did really like it
Yesss I love this show so much thank u omi for reaction yo this keep em coming
Lmao finished all this morning. Fucking loved it. And been waiting all morning for this video!
i need season 2 immediately, i had to rewatch the whole of 70s again🤣
Just Finished the season my god it was great this definitely held my expectations ugh cannot wait for s2 (? 👀)
Yeah, I've already binged the series twice. I graduated in 1975 so That 70's Show was special to me, especially living in Wisconsin. Now this is like watching my kids who went to high school in the 90's. Something that hit me as soon as I saw it, was the girls wearing jeans and a T-shirt with a flannel shirt tied around the waist. That was my daughter, only the flannel wasn't my dad's it was one of mine. So for Christmas every year I would get a couple new flannel shirts so I would have at least one to wear each week during the laundry rotation.
I LOVED the pilot!! So happy to see the OG cast back
i watched the whole thing in one night its great that 70s show is my fav show of all time!
I had started smoking mj around age 20, but it always made me overwhelmingly paranoid and my anxiety would heighten. So I never did good with the stuff. I was addicted to smoking cigarettes but I’ve been about 2 years cold turkey. I’m amazed I’m not as big as an alcoholic than I am, but I drink a little lol.
It’s nostalgic, seeing my generation as a show! Great reaction!! Can’t wait to see more!!
I really like it! Hopefully we can get 2 more seasons.
This show reminds me why we started to faze out the laugh track back in the 90's.. it's so uncanny.
I honestly didn't know that there was a spin-off of that 70s show glad i came across this
Such a fun show I didn’t see much of that 70s show growing up I catch an episode here and there
its dope bro i loved it 🤣 ima huge fan i watched the series almosttwice of thats 70s show but gosh dam man i havent seen or heard anything about the show inna while and seing them come out with this is just huge nostalgia for me 🤣 and juss like my firdt time watching that 70s show im high af
i love the cringe in the show 😭
Good commentary. Agreed, the pilot WAS a delight and to me the show just kept getting more hilarious as it went along. I was LOL a large portion of the time. I'd be down for a second season for sure.
Second RE-marriage, so the third time Michael and Jackie are getting married.
They probably had Jay during their second marriage.
It's so good to be back in Wisconsin. It's like we never left
Upstairs people 🤣
What does that mean?
As a '90s teen who rocked out to Alanis Morrisette on my headphones, that scene sent me back! 😁😁
God I love it 😂😁
13:35
I watched the OG show as a kid
I can't lie, I really felt the ~feels~ here
it was a great pilot! i felt like production didnt stop and they just continued the show just in a new era! iv already watch the season twice and i hope it gets picked up for more seasons. i'm guessing each season could be a new year so this could run for 4 more seasons and end new years eve 1999
Kitty and Red were awesome!!
I was glad you brought up Hyde, I totally forgot about him. I really hope he pops up.
It will take another two episodes to know all the kid's names. Should be worth it.
Gotta try my best not to blow through the series like I did with Wednesday.
See you for the next episode.
Take care, Omn1
He's not going to show up
He unfortunately will probably not be on the show:(
I just watched the first episode and I loved it. i'd watch more but its late and I gotta wake up early tomorrow :(
also I find it funny that Mila Kunis had the loudest audience reaction out of any of the returning characters
There's no way it would've taken Donna 15 years to call Kitty mom. Donna absolutely loved Kitty in the original series.
Nice to see Kitty has calm down
Asas a fellow 90s kid this show was awesome
As someone who feels the same as you man, That '70s show is one of my all time favorite shows i have watched the series multiple times over and to me this is how you honor the source material while still making something new. To me it feels like watching that '70s show all over again but its in the 90s. i love the new kids, and Leia is definitely Eric and Donnas kid. I look forward to watching this series multiple times over as well lol.
I love That 90s show❤
I've seen people saying negative things, but I love this show just as much as the original. Also, that had to be rough smoking. That weed is 15 years old. 😂
10:22 exactly my reaction but I was also like phew, that was close
I really enjoyed the show, warts and all. Most problems can be easily remedied. The new characters are great and I'm excited to see how they grow.
You’ll meet the family of Nate and Gwen next episode. Lol.
Funny enough, I did the math: from the finale, the show ended with them celebrating the new years into 1980. If you do the calculations, Leia was “made” after the show ended.
Also to rewind, Jay Kelso is the end of the baby we saw born about two seasons prior. As you know, Jay’s actual mother was actually a smart girl who made one dumb choice: Kelso being the choice. 😂
Overall without saying further, the show does well in giving the new cast their own ride but sprinkles in the old shows humor a little. It’s as you said, there’s growing pains but it does have some grounded moments
Kelso had a daughter at the end of the original series with Brooke.
@@Michelle-DiPalo you know what? You’re right. I guess we’ll meet Jay’s sister next season
Thing is, Michael said Jay is his kid. But Jackie barely interacted with him. It's possible Jackie isn't his birth mother
@@jonunya1163 Exactly. All Michael said was that the kid got his dad's looks and mother's brains. Jay did mention his mom a few times as well, but nothing specific enough to lean towards Jackie or not.
Love the series
Assuming Netflix doesn't cancel this show. Begins in 95 and will probably end at 1999. How many 10 episode seasons could be crammed into 4 years?
Season 2 will probably have WAY more episodes and longer in length too. This was more like a trial season.
I like it enough to watch it as long as its still on netfe
I have watched the first 4 episodes and would have watched the last 6 but I want to savor it. I really enjoyed what I watched.
The only thing that might make this show not catch on as fast as the original is that the whole first season is put on unlike the original where they had an advantage by playing as a weekly show and have critiques and advice after each episode to work on improvement where as this one will have to wait til the whole season is watched and critiques and advice are given to improve the 2nd season. But I do like how they are not afraid to follow in the footsteps of the original and not play it safe by censoring what these kids do when the grownups are not watching and the grownups are having fun on their own also.
I also hope that the original cast pops in the rest of these episodes and also for the 2nd season (if they do a second season).
I give this show a double thumbs up.
You know that even when the episodes go out weekly, the whole season is already shot? The comments and reviews never affect an ongoing season.
On what episodes do leo appear?.. please let me know. Thanks.
think he appears in the 2nd and 9th episodes
“Not everything’s hit, but there have been some real bangers, especially as a fan” That’s a greatly accurate summary quote (of both this AND That ‘70s Show)
If the show gets renewed, Kevin Smith should make an appearance. Maybe even direct an episode. I'd like to see Luke Wilson show up as Jay's uncle Casey Kelso.
They all probably returned to Point Place for the 4th of July holiday
I enjoyed the show a lot
I really enjoyed the Pilot and it's always entertaining to see Kitty being sweet and deadly and Red an ass but with a heart of literal Gold.
"We like things not because they are great but because they remind us of things that were great."
That Bono's quote came to my mind whilst watching the first two episodes.
Didn't find it funny and Foreman looked more like an older brother than Leia's father, so unfortunately it's a pass for me.
Back to watch Seinfeld, The Office and Friends reruns I guess. 🤷♀️
PS: 20 years later and Eric still has the same 70's haircut?
14:00 Oh the feels.
I have the same shirt you're wearing.
Did anyone else think Nate was going to be Kelso's kid or was it just me?
It seems that there are two Kelsos in the show.
The greens way better then drinking lol.
Im a 90s kid!!!! 😘😘😘
It's a lot like Full house and Fuller house in a way, in all reunion shows things update and of course are not the same
I'm really confused about the Kelso thing. Jay lives in Point Place. We know that he's been there for a while cause Nate says they've been friends for 12 years. So logically, his parents should live there too, but Red didn't seem to know about Jay's existence, which seems weird considering it's a small town and Michael and Jackie practically lived in Red and Kitty's basement until they were 20. I don't know, doesn't seem to make any sense.
NON SPOILER!
One interesting thing about this show, each season only takes place in the summer so it will always take place in a 1 year time jump, 1996 1997 1998 etc. and they want to play with this to show how huge people change in one summer, so what you see in one season can be flipped on its head easily since school is cut OUT completly and each season is once again 1 year time jump
There might be a time where Leia will move to Point Place.
At 3:05, Leia goes to the bathroom by heading towards the kitchen? Why? There is no bathroom there, I don't even think there is a bathroom on the entire first floor of the house.
I don't know how you managed to make a reaction. I've tried 3 times now and every time, it gets blocked for copyright and I've chopped it up as much as I can.
Took me 6 edits to get one to post. Funny enough, I disputed one of the earlier ones and they released it but I'd already posted this one.
@@Omn1Media Well I guess I'm gonna try for # 4. Thanks.
@@Omn1Media Must just be me, tried another and it did it again and I went to see what it wanted trimmed and it was all the footage...trying to dispute an earlier one though.
I binged it lol, it was actually funny and im so glad it’s good not like the 80s show haha
When they announced the show and it's new "diverse" cast.
I was very worried about the writing, taking today's world into the 90s.
So, I was ecstatic when I binged the season and never once felt preached at.
The writing dialogue may get a little "Nickelodeon/Disney channel" at times, when it's just the kids, but the content of conversions tend to be more mature than Disney fare.
Like the one they have at the beginning of the next episode.
wonder what they will do about Eric's sister.
The show is taking to get a little used to, I'm not quite sure what to think, but I'm working on getting back Netflix so that I can see it for myself.
They need more episodes for season 2 it was Good but I feel like The story lines were rushed
nice shirt
lol very funny show
I've enjoyed the show so far(didn't watched whole season yet),Kitty and Red are awesome as always. Only problem I have and maybe it's just because I love original cast so much, are the new kids. I don't know, something is off there for me. Original kids felt natural from the beginning. This group feels fake, like it was improv class, they were assigned some characteristics and they were trying to act that way. Maybe it'll get better when I watch more episodes. Even if it won't it's still worth to watch just for Red and Kitty.
Edit: just finished the show. I really like it. The young cast needs a bit more chemistry in my opinion but at the end I had fun watching them. Hope for another season and maybe a bit longer. 10 episodes is not enough to get to know the characters and get attached to them.
Red didn't give pushback cus he's always been sweet on his girls. Same way he was with Laurie. It's only Eric he used to give flack because he was trying to toughen him up.
To me it feels like they kinda rushed the writing of the new kids but they absolutely have potential and I hope for a season 2.
Why does Nate sound like Mark Wahlberg? lol
I think s2 needs to bring the oringal cast back as regulers even if there not the main focus i think they should at least stick around as parents
Why does the Kellso kid live there because mom and dad dont
i honestly loved the series, of course it had its faults and it will never be as good as the original but they're doing a great job
and maybe there's a certain actress who shouldn't have been cast but oh well... too late now
