I feel like you have studied the intention of René Lavand when watching you perform. Are you familiar with René's take on oil/water, making it about the most simplicity of mixing the red and black cards, then showing they have separated with seemingly no additional interactions.
Totally fine if you use two hands to perform a trick like this as well. I figure René has worked extra hard to make it possible with just one hand. Might as well learn the trick with two hands before reducing it to one.
