This is also in his book from the 1970's with a very young Bernard in his teens on the front. Its a great book with a cut and restored card trick in it. And other great stuff
I agree with you on The Four Jokers by Bernard Bilis - especially with the use of the indicator cards!! =) It's on my Must Buy List! RE: "GONE" - Well I left my comments in your performance video (I saw that video before this one). I would (maybe) buy this if this was the only (or one of the very few) Card To Impossible Location effects on the market. In Nick's performance, the envelope simply brushes against the deck while being passed to the helper. That's better - kinda. :)
@@magic-tv Thank you for the reply :) I agree and that type of handling I've done hundreds of times in many other effects .. but no longer. Until I discovered that many people are too polite to express what they are thinking, in front of the entertainer. For many years I have gone to magic shows, as a regular audience member, where no one knew I was a magician. I would listen to what people say while in the lobby, in the bathrooms, and outside. The one thing I discovered is that many (not all) people are too polite (or scared of social repercussions) to say what they are thinking in front of the magician - and that's a GOOD thing. I can't tell you how many times I overheard an audience members talking about how they worked out how an effect was done while standing at the urinal. And I'm talking about shows featuring some of the biggest names in Magic. The last thing we want are adults acting like that 10 year old boy who constantly yells out, "I Know What You Did" (but I digress - lol). Those experiences made me realize that just because the audience doesn't say anything doesn't mean that they didn't "catch" you on something. People nowadays are a bit more sophisticated in their ability to figure things out than 20, 30, 50, etc years ago. Having said that, as I stated in a different (loooong - lol) comment, what is really important is whether I entertained them, would they hire me for a gig and/or come see me again. Call it a "pet peeve" ... call it "mild OCD" ... (just don't call me Fred) I just get goose bumps when I see a magician making unnecessary movements with their items, in full view of the audience. :)
Regarding GONE, I honestly dont see any benefits over Paperclipped, being a "card to impossible location" or "impossible card transpo" having NO ENVELOPE at all is much more impossible, at least for me... Also a nest of enevolpes would create the same feeling and memory for the spectators. It feels only as a "clever method" but I dont feel it solves any issues with preexisting routines. Do you think this improves any of the mentioned above?
I’m a big Bernard Bilis fan and learned the Joker routine from his 4-DVD Passion set. I think this presentation is really good and elevates it. Gone must be a re-release because I bought it a couple of years ago.
Great reviews as always Craig. Love your routine for the Four Jokers (You should do a teaching video of it). Bernie's routine makes no sense.; Will you be getting another custom mat for this table?.
Google on your old table made looking at magic close-up very difficult. I do like the new table but I would like to make a comment and that is I've only done a few RUclips videos but I found out a long time ago that a light color works much better than black something like a light tan or an off-white really makes the tricks you're doing snap black and that's kind of hackneyed so I'm disappointed that you chose black but most magicians do some magicians do because they need black art others do just because that's what all magicians do but you might consider a light colored table top try one and see if it doesn't make the magic look more spiffy

The new table is great-it’s much easier to see what’s happening when there’s no distracting logo.
Glad you approve.

I played with Gone a lot and settled on the handling I used in the video. Under the right misdirection nobody detects anything. Trust me.

I love the confidence in Ryland's performances. That's something most young performers - not just magicians, any art - don't have.

good to see Thought Transmitter get positive feed back..I really like it
I still have the first one :) Its great
It’s awesome.
@@magic-tv since you mentioned it, I'm in the running for the carbon fibre shadow wallet 🥰🥰
Ooh you could do some black art with that table
You absolutely could.

Thanks for the kind words. I’ve had a couple of people say the same thing to me about Gone so I am guessing you are right.
Loved your presentation of Four Jokers, I bought this a while ago and your performance really gave me some great ideas-- Thanks!!!
Thanks very much. Appreciate it.
Wow great review show. 👏. That clock trick fooled me
It’s good isn’t it.
I have both Frozen in Time 2.0 and 3.0. Only difference is the method and it can be examined all day and the secret will never be discovered
Thanks for clarifying. Appreciate it.
I’m going to lose my job soon so I’m going to work hard on my magic, your channel and reviews are helping my big time. 👍🪄
Glad I can help David. Magic makes a great career. Anything I can do to help just let me know.
@@magic-tv cheers Craig
Yes, really nice performance of 4 Jokers....
Thank you.

Thanks. It just makes more logical sense to me. Since this table we have got another new table. We have tables everywhere now!!
Well done guys love your channel
🙏🙏🙏
New table!!!!!
YES!!!
My thought transmitter needs a lot more pressure to work than it looks like yours did from the performance, maybe I need to return it?
I am not sure. I would absolutely speak to the dealer you got it from because the one we are using works like a dream.
Isn't gone exactly the same as an effect from about 6 years ago called Go Change by N2G?
Great show, great reviews guys👍. I've been really interested in a couple of these effects....thanks.
No problem. Glad I could help.
Re Thought Transmitter: great performance little mentalism dude! 👍
Thanks Andy. I think he did a good job.
More books reviewed please
What age did you get your son into magic?

Have you found that the “magic” on gone is weak and doesn’t work all the time. I have read a few reviews and that seems to come up some.
Table is worse than the last one Craig!
