Same thing when they played UGA in 2021. All the Michigan fans thought they would win and blah blah blah just like this year and they got blown out. In fact all the Michigan fans kept telling me how they had the number 1 defense that year based on stats. The stats only mean Michigan was better than all the garbage teams they played that year with their cupcake schedule. Anyone can out up great defensive numbers if you play a bunch of bad teams. Bama does it every year. Only difference is Bama actually has a top 1 or 2 defense this year. It is not a bunch of padded stats.

It was a helluva game & your team & fans should be proud. I'm STILL gonna pound me chest as an Alabama fan because, even though we lost this game, we are STILL the gold standard of college football. I’m never betting against Bama. I have a sneaking suspicion that Bama wins this by 20+. I just don’t think UM will be able to score consistently against Bama unless JJ plays significantly better.

But Michigan has a QB to take the role of the Bama QB, Orji. Michigan will play a shadow defensive player to keep Bama's offence behind the line of scrimmage. If they do that then Michigan has a good chance to win. If you look at the video shown (1:48) you can see how Michigan D contains the QB in the pocket.
Michigan doesnt have the athletes to keep up with alabama. Won't be able to stop bamas offense reliably. Bama however can stop Michigan's offense. Iowa has a worse defense than Bama and did every well against Michigan's offense
I've no doubt Michigan will adequately gameplan for bama's offense, however they have not faced anything close to Jalen Milroe in terms of just raw athleticism at QB all season. They cracked the code on offense against UGA even with Milroe rushing for less than 30 yds, which shows they can move the ball in so many different ways.
the only problem with saying Michigan has orji to prep for bama is meant solely as a runner. Orji hasn't attempted a pass this year and he is definitely not as seasoned reading a defense and passing it out of a run which milroe does quite well. Michigan hasn't faced a QB like milroe this season in an actual game. and thats really where the disadvantage comes in bc if Michigan is using orji only as a runner than Alabama will be better prepared due to Milroe running maybe 10% of the time. that being said Michigan also has not faced the caliber of deep ball passer this year as milroe is just about second to only the Heisman winner. if he connects on one deep ball then the Michigan defense will open up for the first time this season and then we'll see what they're made of.

That's why their teams usually dominate the post season, cuz all year long they've been playing like it's do or die. If I've learned anything from betting, never underestimate SEC power.

One dimensional UM . Can't ground and pound Bama . Not going to happen. Best bet for UM ? Find a threat downfield and throw the ball to Loveland, Edwards, Wilson. Even Barner and Morris . Morgan is very slow. You can't use him like a speed gifted receiver. But he he makes catches out the slot . I would open up the pass game with McCarthy. You lose you going home anyway with another lost . But at least attack aggressively for a change.

I watched a bunch of games this year and Bama may have the best defense this year. Michigan runs north to south down hill against smaller opponents. They will not be able to do that against Bama. Bama has the best secondary. JJ is not that good of a QB. He will not be able to throw on bama. Michigan does not have top ranked receivers. They are very one dimensional on offense. Nick Saban will have them ready to stop their running game. Now on the other hand Bama does not have a world beating offense but they have a great o-line now after starting poorly. They have Milroe that will keep drives alive with his legs. They will be better than Michigan. Low scoring game but Bama wins easily by shutting down Michigan's offense and Michigan's vaunted defense never faced anyone as good as Bama's offense all season. I love how Klatt showed us highlight reels from unranked garbage teams to show how Michigan can match up well. They just don't. Less talent. Slower and often smaller players. Not has deep as Bama in talent. Nick Saban a far better coach. JJ McCarthy looks very mediocre once he no longer seemed to have the answers to the test. Maybe he was hurt or maybe that was an excuse.

Lets be honest, Bama is about to curb stomp Michigan.
I don't expect a blow out, but I believe that Bama will win comfortably, and pull away in the second half--especially now that Michigan can't adjust at halftime and know the other team's signals for the rest of the game.
