'Not Irish ... I'm English I'm afraid but I loved this band back in the day and Pat Macmanus still does a great job of it with his band. Thanks for this, nicely done.
Holy crap !! Cannot believe I actually found this. OH the wonders of you tube. This has been one of my favorite songs since it came out in the 80's. Pat never got the credit from the guitar world that he deserves. There's been a hundred times I said I was going to sit down and learn this tune and for different reasons never did. You just made it soooo much easier. Thanks for this !!
Thank you for your great video, I'm french and I've always been fan of Irish bands,Thin Lizzy, Gary Moore, Mama's boys. I can now study this excellent song
Thank you! Through this channel I've come to know some interesting tracks I didn't know before, maybe because at the time my teen brain cells were looking elsewhere or because the bands weren't made known in my country, like this one. It's actually great to discover them now, so please continue to throw in some of those obscurities now and then 😉, I'm sure you'll make them justice!
Great tutorial.Thanks. Saw Pat McManus walking along the main street in Enniskillen NI a few weeks ago. He is still playing and looking good,..hair has gone a little lighter though. Some good footage of him on here, RUclips at the Ardhowen in Enniskillen....
This is an awesome song but I would say that as I'm from N.Ireland 😀and seen Mama's Boys live many times! The Power & Passion album is a complete classic rock masterpiece...Pat McManus is a great guitarist.
Excellent lession. You put a lot of work into your lessons. It is very much appreciated. Keeping it Irisj how about Blindman by Horslips from the album Dancehall Sweethearts. Kind regards Dermot
They did well in the UK and the rest of Europe as well as Japan. Touring with the likes of Thin Lizzy and Scorpions. It was the USA that overlooked them.
Maybe not the best or most well known guitarist, but I LOVE his RIFFS, Knopfler and Deep Purple ( I Love Deep Purple - Perfect Strangers, or DP The Anthology, may be better and While my guitar gently weeps also is a fav PS you come off and sound like a proper American and you explain it PERFECTLY, I only wish I had, a one hundreth of your ability.... THO I do love a girl band too - HEART!!!!
Did someone brimg a knife to a Gun Fight, ps the squeaky sound in the background FEATURES in many films AFTER this!!! Best western/ Spag western Triology - Dollars.....
Nighty night, off to cook an omellete, with onion and proprer NI bacon or Scrambled eggs with German Salami from Lidl, letts# see what one has in the fridge/larder...
Thanks man this is class, can you send me the tabs? PS super class that you know Northern Ireland, and Mama's boys and Thin Lizzy, pat playing Mama's boys stuff, not really a reunion, it's Pat and a few other guys - ruclips.net/video/YNvMuNq5RW8/видео.html, ps a request "Johnny" by thin Lizzy, NOT "Johnny the fox", Johnny goes like this, terribly underated in my opinion, unfortunately I have yet to find a vid of it, but you are good enough to derive the musice from this sound clip - ruclips.net/video/r7UivUJnm5A/видео.html or this one, from the Peel Sessions, tremendously popular alternate music (john Peel sadly demised he played all the good stuff BEFORE it was popular with the NUMPTIES!!!) ruclips.net/video/0utsPB8YyZc/видео.html , only a pic... and my FAV TL tune (as everyone else loves the Boys are back in town and Jailbreak and I thought I was the only one) Sarah and Dancing in the moonlight..
It's a bit of a shame that it takes an American to teach people to play this tune!!!! I love your attitude, here's another one for you, Thinn Lizzy - Johnny, not, NOT, Johnny the fox, but Johnny - here's the link - From the Albumn - Johnny The Fox - ruclips.net/video/f1ownLk7qGU/видео.html

Me I think it is CLASS, Phils voice and Gary's playing!!!!!
Class, well done
Grew up with mama's boys music, the band are all brothers, hence the name, pat, john and tommy McManus. All brilliant musicians in their own right.
This is an awesome song but I would say that as I'm from N.Ireland 😀and seen Mama's Boys live many times! The Power & Passion album is a complete classic rock masterpiece...Pat McManus is a great guitarist.

Love this Kelly! The 360p is a little blurry though ;-)
Should be full HD. Did you check your setting?
@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar Nope, all I get is 360p
@@StealthParrot for some reason, I think it took a while for RUclips to process the full HD.
@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar Ahh, there it is, getting 1080p now, much better. I didn't know this band or this song but it's awesome. Thanks my friend.

Now you like all the tunes, I like, I hope you like Kansas, carry on my wayward son, classic -
What effects do you use to achieve this sound
Seen Pat McManus play earlier this year (he played Needle too). But are you based in the States - just wondering how you got introduced to them?

Nighty night, off to cook an omellete, with onion and proprer NI bacon or Scrambled eggs with German Salami from Lidl, letts# see what one has in the fridge/larder...
PPS who is the best, personal taste, I like a load of different genres, but 2 bands come out on top Foreigner and Toto!!!
He wasn't called the Professor for NO reason!!!!
Phill and Gary WERE Thinn Lizzy....
