Interesting Making Of, but they are not quite honest about who were the first to produce animated films. They say it were Disney this is not true. The first animated film is from 1906 "Houmorous Phases of Funny Faces" by J. Stuart Blackton, It is a short film and you can find it on youtube. The first feature length animated film is "El Apóstol" 1917 animated by Quirino Cristiani. These were all silent films. So one might think that Diseney made the first animated film with synchronized sound, but naw that is not true either. It were Dave and Max Fleischer (who would establish Fleischer Studios, Inc. in 1933) with "My Old Kentucky Home" published by Red Seal Pictures in 1926 about two years before Walt Disney's "Steamboat Willie". These two films are also on youtube, if anyone is interested in animated film history.

@@wolke3774 I suppose she could be? There've been weirder twists, but that would make Ansem the Wise her dad, which there's been no indication of throughout the entire series thus far
It's because the developers had a hard time explaining how Ariel would be able to survive on land as Ursula had already been defeated at that point and there were no cutscenes showing that she got legs. So, as a result, they replaced her with Alice.
The idea that the Heartless come from a world of scant resources and invade Disney worlds to take their magic, happiness and goodness sounds really cool and is not at all conveyed in the game. It's all just reduced to edgy talk of light and darkness.
I was thinking the same... and how on the other hand it just barely scratches the surface of where this series and its story went. Kinda crazy to watch.
@@panterxbeats I would say this was an early draft idea that they retconned or ditched for the current lore. Current lore is... a mess. This initial idea is a lot more interesting.
@@mrbabluep The lab born ones are created by removing people's hearts iirc. It's been a little bit since I last played the game but I'm pretty sure this was explained in Ansem's notes. It's the location that gave all three of the characters the impetus and drive to explore the world. Their world is so limited that they're naturally compelled to seek out other worlds. This allows Riku to fully embrace wherever he's headed no matter the costs. It's also a link to the door to darkness, which Ansem explicitly states in KH1. So yeah, it's important to the story.
